The rooms were clean. The place says that it is a historic building but it has been overly modernized. When we arrived there was a private party on the first floor and you could hear and feel the music all the way on the third floor. It ended at 10pm. The walls are paper thin. You can hear people three doors down. Because they went with an over modern decor with the already thin walls there were no sound dampening like pictures on the walls in the halls ways, so it created an echo chamber. Everytime someone opened a door on the floor it was like they were opening it in your room. Friends of ours were directly below us and they could hear us walking around no matter how quietly we were trying to be. Another guest decided to take a video call in the hallway so not to wake the person they were staying with, it was 4 doors down from us really early in the morning, there was no going back to sleep after that. This is a very loud hotel. If you are looking for rest and relaxation don't stay here.

Enjoyed the fact Hotel Callista was creat of a private residence(mansion). Gave it a homey, comfortable feel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms and the hotel in general were very clean. Would definitely stay at Callista again.

Need to work out the kinks

At our arrival, the hotel overall was clean and modern and the onsite parking was convenient. Then we went inside to check in. That is where things took a turn. After being given wrong room, we were given keys to two other rooms both with occupants. After the third mishap, we wanted to leave, but it was too late because we had seven minutes to make it to our dinner reservations. For a one night day it was unnecessarily stressful. In addition, I didn’t think that the hotel itself warranted the high nightly rate. The room was small. The bathroom smelled like urine and they were dead bees on the floor.

The pictures of the rooms were a bit nicer than the actual room we got which let a little to be desired. It was very bare bones and the air conditioner didn't really work. You could see this was not an upgraded room.
