La Gioiosa is a dream estate, situated directly on the waterfront of Lago di Mezzola, the northern part of Lake Como. It is surrounded by a 5 acre fenced private parc, with old trees, palms and lovely flowers in a natural reserve. It has its own private sandy beach, a harbour and is ideal for families who like to engage in all kinds of water sports as well as relaxation in complete privacy. The famous Engadin, home of St. Moritz and the like is close by, so the villa can be used for skiing and wintersports of all kind during the cold season. Children can`t get lost in the park, as it can be completely closed.
The house was completely renovated in 2009

Art, culture and nature : There are quite a few museums in the area, dealing with silk, for which Como is famous, motorcycles (the Moto Guzzi plant is nearby) and of course art and history.
Around the lakes you find many botanical gardens, very often with lovely villas. Most of them can be visited and already in early spring (Feb/March) you can see the Camellia blossoms, a little bit later (March till May) you can admire huge Rhododendrons and azaleas. The temperature highs are already mild around this time of the year, you can find daytime highs of about 20 °C in March. And most important: the sun is frequently shining and gives a pleasant atmosphere.

Shopping: You will find the typical italian markets everywhere in the area as well as the typical small italian boutiques and stores, filled with unique fashion finds and fine foods, lovely to browse and to shop. In addition, you have some of the finest designer outlets in italian fashion and design close by: Armani, Alessi, Cerutti, Banfi, Brunate etc. Como is the center of italian silk industry, so you can easily find hot deals in ties, scarves, silk fabrics and accessories.
In about 10 km distance, there is a mall with an enormous supermarket, where you can find virtually everything you might possibly need.

Wonderful house in beautiful surroundings

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Gioiosa over the New Year. The house is spacious and modern with every comfort you can think of - the owners have thought of everything. Excellent open plan living and separate area for bedrooms. The villa is perfect for families with plenty of activities on site and in the surrounding area. You can enjoy walks on the lake, feed the swans or just enjoy the amazing view over the water and mountains. You are really away from it all. We also went skiing in Switzerland whilst staying there. There are plenty of lovely local restaurants in Novate Mezzola and even more choice in Chiavenna which is about 20 mins drive north. If you need to shop for supplies, you will find everything including beautiful local produce in the large shopping centre and supermarket in Colico which is about 15 mins drive. The owners are more than happy to help with any concern or question. I would recommend this house to any traveller.

Ein wunderschönes Haus. Es fehlte an nichts. Aber leider ist der Park nicht sehr gepflegt, auch am Strand war sicherlich schon lange nicht mehr aufgeräumt worden. Leider war der Schwimmteich nur sehr vorsichtig und nur mit Schuhen zu betreten, da die Stufen total glitschig und und verschleimt waren. Obwohl mein Mann versucht hat, diese mit einem starken Besen zu säubern. Fernsehen war sehr schwierig, es sei denn, man kennt sich mit Computer etc. gut aus. Es war zwar alles beschrieben, aber funktionierte nicht recht. Die Lage des Hauses ist ein absoluter Traum, toller Blick. Und da das Wetter sehr schön war, fehlte uns der fernseher nicht sehr.

Esperienza parzialmente deludente

Ho soggiornato solo sei ore su sette giorni prenotati perché ho avuto un problema grave di salute e non mi è stato rimborsato un centesimo su un importo enorme versato. La comunicazione con il proprietario scarsa, le luci dell atrio e del boschetto bruciate quindi risultava inagibile di sera e non in sicurezza. La tv solo in tedesco. Il cinema non ho potuto usufruirlo perché alle mie richieste mi hanno risposto dopo giorni. Pulizia della casa non perfetta. Posizione e panorama stupenda. Spiaggette deliziose ma poca privacy con gente che continuamente passava davanti in gommone, e gente che pescava con cani al seguito a bordo rete della proprietà. Caos dal camping vicino. Sono delusa,nessun rimborso nemmeno parziale e questo è inammissibile in un periodo Covid dove viaggiare diventa un problema e proprietari così menefreghisti mai avuto esperienza prima. Quindi se volete un paesaggio stupendo lo consiglio ma per altro no.

Natur pur in gepflegter Anlage

Ein fantastischer Ort zur Erholung und Entspannung. Man spürt bei vielen Gelegenheiten, dass es den Besitzern ein wirkliches Anliegen ist, ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Das gelingt auch bestens: Danke! Einziger Wermutstropfen: Freitag und Samstag können diverse Parties in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung die Nachtruhe beeinträchtigen. Trotzdem: Ein wunderbarer Ort, sehr empfehlenswert!

Perfektes Urlaubsdomizil in perfekter Umgebung

Die Beschreibung der Villa La Gioiosa ist in jeder Beziehung korrekt. Wenn man das Haus betritt und den Lago di Mezzola über die gesamte Fensterfront sieht, ist man im Urlaubsparadies angekommen. Die Ruhe und Privatspäre auf dem riesigen Grundstück mit altem Baumbestand sind einzigartig. Das Grundstück ist so groß, dass man es sogar zum Joggen nicht verlassen muss. Die Ausstattung de Hauses lässt keine Wünsche offen, selbst bei schlechtem Wetter haben wir uns rundum wohl gefühlt (Beamer, HiFi-Anlage, WLan). 4 Personen und ein Hund waren einfach rundum zufrieden und sind nach einer wunderschönen Urlaubswoche erholt nach Hause gefahren. Besonders hat uns bei der Ankunft gefallen, dass wir keine Schlüsselübergabe brauchten, da die Eingänge mit einem Code geöffnet werden und so die Verabredung wegen der Schlüsselübergabe entfällt. Die Villa La Gioiosa können wir nur wärmstens empfehlen. Ein echte Idylle direkt am See. Vielen Dank für die schöne Woche! Wolfram und Regina Bangert

Lovely stay in April

We had a delightful stay in April. The house was meticulously clean on our arrival. It is well organized and well appointed. Good for the serious cook. Views of the northernmost branch of Lake Como are spectacular. Heating worked well and we experienced quite a bit of rain so that was important. The garden is lovely and was filled with spring flowers. A nearby path allows access to a trail along the lake and into the nearby village. The setting is secluded and peaceful, so it is a bit of a drive, or drive plus a boat ride, to the main attractions of Lago di Como. Internet works well as does sound system. The owners are very helpful and easy to work with. They have provided English translations for most key house details, but we did still struggle on occasion with no German speakers in our party. What indeed, is dish washing detergent in German! We loved the house and setting.

Ein wunderschöner Herbsturlaub!

Wir verbrachten einen herrlichen Urlaub in Campo, das Haus ist einfach super! Es stimmte alles - die Ausstattung, die Lage und das Wetter. Die Umgebung lud zum Wandern ein (besonders schön: Val di Mello) und die Abende verbrachten wir wahlweise am Lagerfeuer mit Maroni und Feigen aus dem Garten oder leckerem Wein vor der Riesenleinwand. Zwei todesmutige Schwimmer wagten sogar den Sprung in den kalten See. Vielen Dank an die Vermieter für die Überlassung ihres tollen Hauses und den freundlichen Empfang mit Obst, Wein und Lektüre!

Traumurlaub in traumhafter Umgebung

Wir waren für 2 Wochen als Familie (4 Personen) in der Villa Gioiosa zu Gast. Nachdem wir die Türe geöffnet hatten, waren wir zu Hause. Es fehlte an nichts - wir fühlten uns willkommen. Mehr Privatsphäre ist nicht vorstellbar - außer vielleicht am Nordpol. Im riesigen Grundstück ist man sicher vor neugierigen Blicken geschützt. Es gibt jede Menge an heimlichen Ecken, wo man auch bei großer Hitze Kühlung findet. Ein sehr alter Baumbestand lässt manche versteckte Ecke erst auf den zweiten Blick sichtbar werden. Der See mit privatem Ufer und mehreren Badestellen mit Sandstrand lädt vor allem am Nachmittag zum Baden ein. Vormittags ist es manchmal zu kühl. Das Wasser ist sehr sauber. Das Auto steht 2m von der Haustüre entfernt sicher und bequem - und mit jeder Menge Platz zum Rangieren. Im Haus ist jedes Zimmer mit hoher Qualität und Sorfalt eingerichtet. Die Küche lässt absolut keine Wünsche offen, so dass wir sehr oft selbst kochten. Der Gasgrill auf der Terrasse verführt zu häufigen Grillabenden. Die Essecke von Rolf Benz zeigt, was Sitzkomfort bedeutet. Komplett zu öffnende Fensterfronten bringen eine herrliche Atmosphäre. Eine Multimediaausrüstung mit Internet-DSL, Beamer, hochwertiger Hi-Fi-Anlage sorgt für gute Unterhaltung. Auch hier wird deutlich, was ein ca. 80 Quadratmeter großes Wohnzimmer bedeutet. Die beiden Bäder sind absolute Oberklasse. Außer in einer Suite in einem 5*-Hotel habe ich bisher nichts Vergleichbares erlebt. Das Wasser mit Wasserhärte 1 erlaubt ein unvergleichliches Duschgefühl. Zum Einkaufen waren wir oft im Iperal-Supermarkt (10 Minuten mit dem Auto). Sowohl die Fischqualität als auch die Fleischqualität hat uns überzeugt. Im Markt in Novate Mezzola (1km) haben wir sogar dunkles Brot bekommen. Wenn wir an unseren schönen Urlaub zurückdenken, so kommen folgende Begriffe immer wieder vor: - echte Privatsphäre - unheimlich viel Platz - höchste Qualität - man fühlt sich willkommen - sicheres und bequemes Parken - Baden am eigenen Privatstrand - viel Natur Wir werden noch lange von diesem Urlaub träumen. Urlaub wie er sein sollte

Nach einem Aufenthalt in der Villa Gioiosa mit zwei Familien und insgesamt 6 Personen kann unser Fazit nur lauten: "Urlaub so wie er sein sollte". An diesem Eindruck hatte zwar auch das tolle Wetter seinen Anteil, für das der Vermieter ja nun nichts kann, aber er hat von seiner Seite alles getan, um uns unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Lage und Ausstattung des Hauses lassen keine Wünsche offen, eine umfangreiche Mappe mit Anregungen und Informationen für die Freizeitgestaltung und der mühelose Zugang zum Internet stellen grosse Hilfen bei der individuellen Urlaubsplanung dar. Ob man nun Ausflüge in die Umgebung machen möchte, oder beschliesst einfach die Infrastruktur des Seegrundstücks zu nutzen, und dort "die Seele baumeln zu lassen", es gibt genügend Angebote für jeden Geschmack! Das besondere an dieser "Perle Norditaliens" ist sicher, dass man in erster Lage am See seine Privatsphäre geniessen kann und sich nicht stets unter Horden von Touristen wähnt, eine atmosphärische Besonderheit, die einem erst dann richtig bewusst wird, wenn man zu einem Ausflug in die eher touristische Zentren weiter im Süden am Comer See fährt. Also alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Urlaub und ein Urlaubsziel, das man jedem Urlaubswilligen und -bedürftigen nur wärmstens empfehlen kann!!!

Einfach zum Wiederkommen

Das Ferienhaus ist großartig, es läßt keine Wünsche offen! Mindestens genauso grandios ist das großzügige Grundstück mit eigenem Strand (es bietet 100 % Privatsphäre) Die Boccia-Bahn im schattigen Teil des Gartens ist etwas für wahre Genießer. Mit der modern ausgestatteten Küche, dem "Weber-Gas-Griller" und den gemütlichen Terrassen ist man verführt, zu kochen und die Abende zuhause zu genießen. "Wir sind der Meinung, das war (ist) SPITZE"!

Wow Supertoll

Wir waren gerade in der Villa Gioiosa, es wir dalle übertroffen was wir von Ferienwohnungen kennen. Die Wahnsinns Super Hammerlage, direkt am See mit eigenem Strand inmitten von einem Park. Das Haus ist absulte Oberstklasse alles hochwertig und Exklusiv. Die Schlafzimmer gemütlich ruhig und bequem, genügend Platz auch für die Kleider in den Einbauschränken. Großzüger Wohn- Essbereich mit öffenbaren Fensterfronten. Es war sommerlich heiß aber im Haus immer angenehm und ein Windzug ließ keine stehende Hitze entstehen. Durch das automatische Tor ist die Privatsphäre und auch die PKW perfekt geschützt. Ein Eldorado für Wanderer , MTB un Kultur, Odder einfach nur erholen und genießen. Diese Villa ist einfach nur zu empfehlen .......... -
