Retreat to serene, sound-front beauty on Whidbey Island at this gorgeously updated, family-friendly rental. Overlooking Skagit Bay, just outside of Oak Harbor, this three-bedroom home offers a quiet retreat with a convenient location to everyday essentials.

Tastefully renovated and refurbished with modern comfort and entertainment in mind, this home is designed to accommodate small group and family gathering. A sweeping, wraparound deck boasts several features including a private hot tub, a sunny lounge area with water views, and a covered, outdoor dining area and private gas grill for summertime cookouts. A sprawling, green backyard lawn area includes a large, stone-circle firepit. The two-level interior features beautiful flooring and recent updates throughout the space.

On the main floor, a painted brick hearth acts as a semi-open partition to the kitchen and living room, with an adjacent, sun-filled dining room through accessible from both areas. Relax in the living room by the warming glow of the gas fireplace while gazing out at the water or catching up with your favorite shows and movies on the flatscreen TV. The kitchen has been fully renovated and redesigned, featuring all new cabinetry and counter tops, a custom backsplash, and a suite of stainless steel appliances including a gas range/hood and dishwasher. A sleek, barn-style sliding door offers inset kitchen storage. Wrapped with windows, the dining room is awash with natural lighting and near-360 views of the home's surroundings.

The fully furnished basement level features a second living area complete with sofa seating, fireplace, flatscreen smart TV, and selection of puzzles. There is one bedroom with an attached, half-bath on this level.

Everything was wonderful and just as described. The house was warm and welcoming. The only issue is the hot tub. The jets only work for 15 minutes, then you have to wait for hours to turn them on again. All else was wonderful.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean, the view was amazing and the hot tub worked! We would stay here again and recommend to our friends. The only word of warning is that the steps/stairs leading up to the house are a bit uneven. Someone with mobility issues would have a tough time.
