The check in was simple & all done via key code. The location is great. Beach access about 4 houses down across the street. Upon arrival, there were packs of sheets & towels for each bed - you make your own beds using these linens when you get there. For the first 24hrs, we would turn the Nest WiFi thermostat down (66-68) and within 2 hours, it was being turned back up (76-79). My dogs were panting and we did not sleep well at all. I called the rental company who got in touch with the homeowner. They blamed it on the heat outside, but the thermostat never budged again after my phone call so my guess is that the homeowner was adjusting it up every time we turned it down. We also killed 3 roaches inside, one crawling on the kitchen counter. There is roach tape in a kitchen cabinet, so this appears to be a known issue. Also, just as an FYI bc the description wasn’t clear to us - there is only a toilet & sink in the king bedroom. No shower/tub - the king primary shares a hall bathroom/shower with the queen/bunk room on the first floor.
