I had a wonderful stay here in Oakland! Happened to meet the owner of the home Nicky and she had great recommendations for Oakland and SF. Also had good conversations about traveling and life.The home was clean and in good order. Bed was comfy and room had plenty of space. Shower and bathroom were clean with towels provided. I didn’t use the living room or kitchen but they were neat and organized.As the home’s second guest, I already felt like they’d done a great job making it clean and welcoming for folks. It’s worth mentioning that the space is kept scent-free; great for folks with heightened sensitivity and also something to keep in mind for people not accustomed to stricter rules regarding smell.Lastly, I thought the neighborhood was safe and well-lit. Was always able to find a parking spot nearby. Would recommend and I’d certainly stay here again if I came back through town.

We arrived around 10:30 after a long day and the door was locked. It took a while to get a hold of the host who eventually sent someone over to let us in.The listing says there are 2 double beds in the bedroom but there is only one. The next night my friend and I were sitting on the couch talking and we received a "noise complaint" telling us "quiet hours" start at 10pm. We were having a normal conversation and had no TV or music on.There are a lot of personal items in the unit which made it feel cluttered.The stay was fine aside from these inconveniences. I tried to contact the host to resolve but the system isnt letting me contact them for some reason.
