The location is absolutely perfecto! A two minute walk to Santo Domingo and in a neighborhood with shops, cafes and restaurants close by. A very friendly staff provide excellent service. Our room on the second flor (no elevator) offered a private patio. This is a very nice hotel!

Quiet place with a nice rooftop terrace. Very small rooms and no bathroom ventilation, just a window that opened to the backyard. No soap at all in the room, had to ask for it. TV was inside a cupboard which was a bit unusual. Overall, seemed clean and quiet.

Excellent little hotel!!! Very clean, super comfortable bed, great AC, very friendly staff. The only minor problem is the internet. It is extremely slow and cuts off in second floor.

This was a really wonderful and gorgeous little hotel within a stones throw from the plaza of Santa Domingo cathedral. It has a lovely roof-top terrace to enjoy cool evening breezes with views over the town. It is close to restaurants and other sites of interest. The hotel patron/host was really friendly and helpful and communicated well in English. I would highly recommend this hotel. Excellent value for money!

The hotel was in a really great location. The AC worked well, and gave us a nice break from the heat midday. The only downfalls were a musty smell in the room and firm beds.

The location of this property is excellent and the main reason we chose it. As described the property doesn't have a restaurant or a lift so if you have luggage you may need to request a ground floor room. The property is traditional with cute little courtyards and a terrace. They definitely like the "Friar" theme and go all in with lots of religious iconography everywhere!! We didn't have the need for much interaction with the staff but seemed pleasant.
