Our family has been staying here for the past 5 or 6 years and this is our second year staying in a Suite. We love this hotel and have always had great experiences. This time was not so great and we are very saddened by it. Upon check in, our check in person gave me a balance however there was no owed balance.
Next, I was hit with a parking charge which apparently changed this year so now you are charged for parking which was not clearly notated for being a big change. I know the change is not completely their fault or atleast I was told it was the state not their facility, however I’m not a fan of paying for parking when I already pay to stay somewhere, everywhere usually includes free parking. Secondly with paying for parking, this hotel’s lot is VERY small and there is sometimes no open spaces so I’m paying for the possibility of not even having a space as well as there is no one monitoring their lot as people park over lines on purpose taking up two spaces. Paying for a suite room should either include parking or have an assigned parking space.
Once we were finally checked in, we made our way to our room. We inspect every room thoroughly before unpacking and what not. Their housekeeping did NOT clean our room. Out on the balcony there was a soda can with cigarette butts in it, mind you this hotel is non-smoking, which is clearly not enforced. Also on the balcony there was a disgustingly dirty wash cloth that I don’t even want to know what it was used for..(out of space)
