good, but a few annoyances

comfortable, clean and friendly. no major complaints. however, the fact that the porch light stays on all night (BRIGHT) will disquade me from returning. I enjoy seeing ocean at night and watching sunrise... which the bright porch alway-on-light diminishes. also, the vendors below had loud music until late in evening.

Not a favorable review.

I always hate leaving bad reviews, so I will say that this is a MIXED review. I’ve already posted a review on our check-in and first evening. I will say this, after posting the review I received a call from the manager who apologized and offered to refund us our first night’s cost. Unfortunately the rest of our stay wasn’t much better. Our first night we were woke up at 3am by people staying in a room one floor above us who were drinking, smoking weed, and yelling. It took 2 calls to the front desk to have the issue stopped. Last night same thing, different room, and again, two calls to the front desk to have the problem resolved. We were finally able to go back to sleep at 5am. We were granted a late checkout by management for the inconvenience. Overall, I would rate our stay at the Americana a 2 out of 5 stars. Great location on the boardwalk and nicely updated rooms. From there, unfortunately, it goes downhill quickly.

Stayed for the Easter weekend. Decent hotel. A bit dated but comfortable. No real amenities but their rates reflect that. Good proximity to restaurants and bars. Right on the boardwalk so attractions and the beach are just steps away.

The Americana seems to go by the unfortunate, but widely accepted, adage: “you get way less than what you pay for”. The building is outdated, the lay-out is awkward (pool at entrance) and the so called amenities are ‘scarce’, at best. We had to call to have the tub and the walls in our room cleaned. And, good luck with finding a place to park. The bright spot was the service. The staff were friendly and responsive. However, service is not enough to convince me of a return visit. May God bless the Americana with owners who sincerely desire the pursuit of their guests’ happiness.

Room 505, great location & good value

Hotel location was great. Right on the boardwalk. Room location was also great. Comfortable bed, clean & pretty quiet. Main negatives & I consider these big ones, were the WiFi & internet went down at 9pm. Was told 5 minutes but by 11pm I gave up. No worries it happens. Then the next morning, the shower wouldn’t drain. Like at all. Already undressed, I found myself trying to unstop it. No avail. So that was a huge negative. Unfortunate because the water was nice & hot & the pressure seemed great. Room 505. Please fix that!

I didnt like how i felt house keeping was a bit sneaky by coming in when I wasnt there, to get the trash (which wasnt much) and bring towels. They didnt even get the used ones out the room, nor did i even leave the tag out saying i wanted it clean. Parking was extremely tight. Or you could walk alittle which wasnt to far. Nice room though.
