Cozy and tidy

The Wellington is a gem of a hotel! Within one block of the boardwalk and easy walking distance to lots of good food options. The staff were very friendly and the whole place is immaculately clean. It was also fairly quiet except for road noise (there are not a few cars in the city that need muffler replacements…) and the bed was comfortable. We slept well. There is coffee in the morning but no breakfast so you’ll need to walk to the beach to get something. Our room (a standard double) was tiny—about the size of a dorm room—and had a bed, a nightstand, a chair, and an entertainment center with a tv, refrigerator, and three drawers. No closet and no elevator, so pack light, and note that there are steps to get up to the lobby so if you have a mobility problem this is not the place for you. Very nice shower. Just right for our needs. Could have used some more light blocking at night.

Clean and a short walk to the beach/boardwalk, but my room was ridiculously tiny – no closet and barely enough room to even sit on the toilet! Room had little insulation from noise or light, though I didn't have noise problems when I was there. Door has no peephole and only a simple pushbutton lock. And no mirror over the bathroom sink - makes it hard to shave!

I did not like the people up stairs making so much noise walking back and forth all night the rooms need better sound proofing also people outside are talking to loud for us to hear every word they said. Since we were on the bottom floor which didn’t help much they need better doors and locks like deadbolt, all we had was a push button lock that wouldn’t take much to break in.

The property was nice but needs a few updates. The shower was so small I had to stand outside to bathe and get back in to rinse. Also there was no iron in the rooms and you have to pay the person at the front desk $10 to iron your clothes but that’s only if they have availability to do it for you.

Quirky, friendly, convenient, plenty of parking

Quirky, friendly, clean, renovated convenient, plenty of parking in the Ocean block. No streets to cross to get to the boardwalk half a block away. O C Wellington without the spaces gets you pictures of the rooms with a dot and a com and saves you some money. No need for a big resort if you just need a place to sleep.

They have no breakfast not even continental there’s no elevator there’s no public restroom in the public areas They charge nearly $700 a night and then when they arrived because we didn’t list the kids on the reservation they charged us $20 per child per night in addition like they were pets the guy at the front counter was rude and snooty is clearly a $75 a night hotel room they have no guest laundry If you’re desperate and just looking for a room, this is the place for you

We just took an over night trip for the White Marlin Open. We've stayed here in the past. This trip we had a room on the front of the building. It was noisier than we are used to and to no fault of the hotel. People revving their engines and the exhausts. Otherwise, our room was adequate, clean, and the ac worked. We'd stay there again without hesitation.
