Not my favorite property. My 6’2” husband struggled with the slanted ceilings and bathroom—he often hit his head and couldn’t stand fully upright. The property sits behind a house under full renovation, with trash and nails between the properties and along the path to the beach. Construction was noisy and disruptive, and the house was downwind from a port-a-potty, so we could smell it while sitting by the pool.We paid a high daily rate to heat the pool (more than we’ve paid elsewhere), but one day the heater didn’t run due to construction debris clogging the filter (per the pool attendant). We were still charged the full amount. The washing machine also didn’t work, and no credit was given.There was confusion about linens: a few days before check-in, we were told they were not included, so I packed my own. On the day of check-in, I received a message saying linens were included. I contacted the owner with proof of the earlier message and asked to remove the linen fee, but she refused and took no accountability.The issues with the house were frustrating, but it would have been much easier to overlook them if the owner had acknowledged the problems and worked toward a fair resolution.
