Trapper Cabin in Alpine Meadows w/ hot tub

This spacious Alpine Meadows mountain home offers ample room for family and friends to enjoy quality time together. Perched on a steep hillside, the property boasts stunning views of the surrounding peaks and is just a short drive from the ski slopes at Palisades Tahoe’s Alpine Meadows Base Lodge. In the winter months, this address is serviced by the free Mountaineer Shuttle if you would prefer a lift to the Alpine Meadows Base Lodge.

Guests will park on a designated pad above the home and descend a covered, yet steep, flight of stairs to reach the main level. At the base of the stairs, a door opens from the covered entryway to a private outdoor patio featuring a hot tub and BBQ—perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes or trails.

The open floor plan on the main level featuring the kitchen, living room, and dining area makes a perfect space for gathering and entertaining. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views through the large living room windows while preparing meals in the fully stocked kitchen. There are 2 queen bedrooms and a full bathroom on this level. Another steep flight of stairs will take you to the lower level of the house, where you’ll find the other two bedrooms the second full bathroom and the stacked washer / dryer. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the other a queen and a twin.

THINGS TO KNOW
• The exterior flight of stairs is covered, but it is steep and long. The interior flight of stairs to the lower level of the house where the bedrooms are is also very steep with narrow steps, and could be challenging for small children or people with mobility issues.
• We recommend 4WD with snow tires in the winter months. The neighborhood around Alpine Meadows is steep and receives a lot of snow in the winter months.
• The parking pad fits 4 cars tightly in the summer months. In the winter, depending on snow removal you may only be able to fit 3 vehicles.
• BBQ may not be accessible during winter depending on snow removal and severity of storms.
• We provide a starting supply of toilet paper, paper towels and laundry detergent, but recommend bringing supplies for longer stays. We do not supply shampoo and conditioner, although some could be left by previous guests.
• There is an exterior camera at the top of the stairs to monitor bears. There are no other cameras.
• 2 Dogs allowed with deposit.

SHORT TERM RENTAL - PLACER COUNTY REQUIREMENTS
• STR Permit Number: STR25-9489
• Max Occupancy: 10 people 12 and older. Children under 12 are exempt from occupancy limits, but there is only sleeping accommodations for 8 people. (4 queen beds)
• Parking is limited to 4 vehicles in the parking pad. There is no street parking at any time, including boats and trailers.
• Quiet Hours: 9PM - 8AM
• Fines for violations range from $1,500 - $5,000 for violations of the STR ordinance.
