This was the perfect starting point to our Shimanami Kaido bike tour. Comfortable, convenient location with helpful staff to help us on our way (they were especially helpful in arranging our luggage to be forwarded to our ending location). Minutes away from the train station, bike rental shops and ferry terminals. Could not ask for anything more! Highly recommended

Staff were very kind. They arranged luggage forwarding for me. Location is excellent. It’s right by the train station and the ferry terminal for the Shimanami Kaido. Free snack + water as welcome gifts. Everything was clean.

Super convenient location, opposite Onomichi Station. Walking distance to most attractions and food options. The room was clean and relatively quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English when my Japanese wasn’t quite up to scratch. I would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable stay.

First, to set the context since this is one of my first reviews. 5' 10". I haven't really travelled all that much before. Overall I had a very good experience staying with them. Green Hills is "old" as in the property has been around for a while 1997 but that really only dates the aesthetics for certain aspects most people may never be bothered by such as the elevators, carpet, chair upholstery, desks, location of electrical outlets and so on. I stayed two nights, two single rooms (there with a friend) harbor-side with added breakfast. The bed was firm, there was no outlet on the built-in shelf above the bed. There was little to no noise bleeding in from the harbor at night or I wasn't that bothered by it. The room was kept fairly clean and they gift a couple of bottles of water along with some mikan in jello. The breakfast buffet was filling and there should be sufficient enough variety. You aren't going to be expecting luxury but I think you're going to be fairly comfortable. Be careful when getting into the shower, the lip of the tub is some awkward height higher than whatever the standard American tub height is.

The property is spartan and is ok for an overnight stay. It would not be suitable for a longer stay and the WiFi did not work well at all, so definitely not suitable for a business stay. I also messaged in advance with a question and did not receive a reply.
