The property was very clean and was well appointed. The heating in both the main room and with an electric blanket was appreciated in cold rainy weather The parking is limited but there are marked spaces for each motel unit though this depends on the courtesy of other users who do not use more than one parking space.

Booked through Expedia and it was very expensive for what it was. The room was very old, wall paper coming off in places, old furniture, bed rolled to the middle, noisy from adjacent unit, bathroom and kitchen very dated. Worth about $90/night not $208au that Expedia charged.

Excellent service, and couldn’t be more helpful. Use of the laundry was very welcome. Room was excellent for space, but a little dated. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the room was hot (even though it had a dehumidifier and fan).

We loved our stay at Opononi Lighthouse, in fact we decided to stay several more nights. Very friendly and helpful owner, a great unit and beautiful gardens. Right opposite the beach and very handy to the local 4 Square and other shops. We would certainly go back there again. :)
