First I asked to check in at 2. We had an event to attend in the area. However they said they were fully booked and this was not possible. We arrived for check in at 10 pm after an event. The room they gave us did not have air conditioning. I asked for a refund as they had said they were fully booked. When my husband talked to them they miraculously had another room for us. It was fine but the entire ordeal took way too long. Then the television in the new room did not work. They said they could send someone to fix. I would not recommend or would I ever return to this hotel.

The pool was painfully cold, unusable cold, and there were no clean towels. Additionaly, even though we registered 3 people, the sofa bed did not have any linens. The patio door didn’t lock, and the air conditioning was sub standard. The breakfast was actually really great with fresh eggs and the breakfast attendant was extremely friendly!

Nice, friendly staff! I forgot a toothbrush and they offered me a toothbrush/toothpaste kit. The room was nice and offered the typical amenities. The bed and linens were so comfortable and cozy, better than most hotels I’ve been to. The breakfast had plenty of variety for a continental breakfast although the seating can get crowded so they have an extra room available to eat. The only thing I found somewhat of a discomfort was the temperature in the common areas. It was very warm. It was a generally hotter time of year and thankfully our room had great AC so it wasn’t a huge deal that the hallways and lobby were warm. Overall a nice hotel though!

Nice Hotel

Nice hotel. We checked in around 930 PM after a day at Canada’s Wonderland and had to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. This was the only issue we had and they were very apologetic about it which was nice. Hotel is conveniently close to the highway and close to stores. We’re coming back in November.

Overall experience was satisfactory. The very large issue I have with this property is that it advertises a hot tub. I chose this property because it stated it has a hot tub. Even displayed pictures of a hot tub on its website photos when booking. The truth is, this property has no hot tub. Not since covid. False advertisement. You are luring people in on the false assumption that you offer a service which you do not.

3 day stay.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and spacious. The lobby and hallways were a little warm. And even though the AC in the room was set at the lowest setting, our room was still a little warmer than we would have liked for our 3 day stay.

The 2 staff at check out were wonderful and very helpful. 5 star to them. The rooms are nice and big, but our first room didn’t have windows that open (poor design) so we moved to a cheater balcony room for fresh air. That was nice, but careful what you wish for because our view was a parking lot full of school busses. We did have to drive to go downtown and to the Harbour, but parking was free. The day of checkout, we had an event to go and blow dryer in our room was broken. I called down to the front desk and the staff person, Mary told me that there were no blow dryers as they were all distributed to other rooms. (Note to hotel, check all rooms as this seems to be an issue). I then asked if someone could locate a blow dryer and she said no they are all distributed. Then I said I do need a blow dryer to dry my hair as I have an event today. She was very condescending and rude and said there were none available. As a customer service person myself, I would think she would just say leave that with me. I will find you one, or maybe just send the housekeeping staff to a vacant room and find me a blow dryer. She was not very pleasant or helpful. I did end getting one, but not after being spoken to in an unprofessional manner. It put a sour note on a nice stay.

Most helpful staff. My door lock was defective and they fixed it very promptly. Carin (not sure of spelling) was so sweet and friendly. Mary was so efficient and helpful. All staff were professional and friendly. Already booked for next year’s folk festival.
