Generally speaking, OMO was a convenient and nice place to stay. Our room however had a bad smell from the air conditioning (probably from the humidity).

The Onsen style bath was excellent and very welcomed. The breakfast buffet was also excellent in a bright top floor with a lovely view. It would’ve been five star overall, but the room itself was tiny, too small for two people to be comfortable.

The check-in process was easy through the machine but to pay the city tax in cash we then had to line up for tge reception for nearly half an hour. There wasn't enough staff and also no warning that you couldn't pay the tac at the machine if you select the cash option. Our room was fine, the bed is nice and comfy and there were two pillows per person which was nice. Unfortunately our room did smell moldy and stale and all our clothes in the suitcases did adapt that smell after our one day stay. On the plus side: the hotel is very close to the station and the airport, there's a mall nearby and the onsen facility at the property is great.

Terrible check in experience. Only self checking in, you can't wait in line for counter check in. However, you still need to pay hotel tax if choose cash payment you still need to wait for counter to give you the keys and pay them cash. So how ridiculous check in process....
