The hotel was nice enough, but there was no way to communicate with the front desk, the room was very hot, and the shower doors were bizarre, no shelf for toiletries and very thin towels, all for way too much $. And the street noise was very very loud. Breakfast was good.

Mixed Reaction

I have a mixed review of the hotel. I booked the stay through Hotels.com the evening before; however, when we checked in the next day, the clerk claimed she could not find our reservation even after I showed it to her on my phone. She charged me for the room. She assured me I would not be double charged. Well, upon returning home and reviewing my credit card transactions online, I found that I was indeed billed twice. I have contacted the hotel to get this taken care of. In all my booking with Hotels.com, I have never encountered this. Having said that, we were pleased with the hotel. It is walkable from the Central Train Station and is about 3-4 blocks from the waterfront. The room was quite spacious, and we enjoyed the breakfast which was both plentiful and delicious. We also ate at the hotel's restaurant one evening and were pleased.

Very hot in room despite portable fan. Windows on street side so rather noisy, especially when trams go past. Excellent breakfast and we had dinner there one evening too. Bed comfortable and if we return to Oslo we’ll try and stay here again.

Hotel has a convenient location. It is clean. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast has a large selection of local food. The only drawback is the room size which is very small. There is no closet.

Nice place and clean. Breakfast was good but not as good as everyone made it seem in previous reviews. Staff was kind and helpful. Couple of issues. It was summer, so room was warm requiring us to have windows open. Right outside our window was a night club that had loud noise until 3 am or late. Also, the bathroom was very small. However, bed was comfy and tv had the ability to use streaming services that helped us drown out the night club noise. Try to ask for a room that doesn’t face the same direction as the entrance. I’d stay here again.
