incredibly LOUD locayion

If you’re staying here for a great location for walking or if you want an incredible breakfast this is your spot! If you want any sleep!! This is NOT your place to stay. When I mentioned how incredibly loud it is at night with the bars and very loud music and taxi cabs picking and dropping off loud drunk people, the front desk said yes it is and shared with me next time to request a room on the backside of the hotel higher up than the second floor. How would I know that? I was traveling with my 75+ parents from the states and they were exhausted from lack of sleep. I would just go for the breakfast and stay somewhere else.

We had booked a non-smoking Superior room and obviously paid extra for it. We were given an Accessible/Handicap room (522) which had a very inconvenient bathroom. On addressing this with the reception we were told that it wasn't really an Accessible/Handicap room!!! I've been travelling for 50+ years and know such a room when I see it. Poor experience for a Thon hotel - they should be ashamed giving us the incorrect room and then lying to us.

Very clean . Great breakfast. Good location. Staff very helpful especially Georgina.Had a little difficulty with one man on swing shift. Somewhat condescending. TV would not turn on than not off. Door handle would not open several times they needed a hammer to open it.

The front desk staff was very helpful. The room was smaller than expected and outdated. It was very clean. There was a bar across from the hotel that doesn’t close until 3:00 AM and it was extremely loud. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff were great and helpful. Great breakfast that was included. Great central location. Only negative thing was noisy at night between midnight to about 3am as there are bars in the area and it was Saturday night. Only happens then as per hotel staff.

The Thon Rosenkrants was perfect for our stay in Oslo. We picked it for the convenient location to the main attractions & the breakfast bar and it exceeded our expectations. The breakfast bar was over the top and was one of the best that we’ve ever had at a hotel in Europe. It had an amazing selection of breakfast items that held us all day until dinner resulting in us only having to buy one meal per day. Stenili’s coffee that she served was a highlight of our stay! The convenience was also nice since it was so close to a tram station and the city center. We highly recommend this hotel!

Breakfast alone is worth staying here. The selection is outstanding, from fresh breads, fruits, salads, pastries, veggies to an array of the usual eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes one expects. Really fine quality, assortment, and presentation. The only problem is deciding what NOT to eat! Another impressive feature was the staff. To a person, staff was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and personable. The room was fine, not exciting but perfectly comfortable. If there was anything we found worthy of criticism it was the shower stall with two hinged glass doors. If the two were not perfectly aligned, the bathroom floor would get very wet and slippery. And, too, perhaps the room numbers could be a bit smaller! The huge numbers are something of an eyesore. The addition of a luggage cart guests can use, especially since the hotel has no porter, would enhance the property and not be a big expense.
