Not what we expected.

When we arrived - check in was quick but the valet was not helpful even after asking for assistance. Booking through Hotels.com was significantly cheaper than booking directly with hotel. In room dining was okay. But our food arrive with no cutlery when we called it was quickly rectified. On day 2, we left for the (2pm) late afternoon/evening and left sign for housekeeping but no one came while we were out. Just had higher expectations. We wanted to try as usually we stay at the Chateau Laurier. For the cost - we will go there as the service was more of what you would expect at a luxury hotel!

Beautiful historic property. Walking distance to the market, restaurants and parliament hill. Excellent staff, clean well appointed rooms, a bit noisy with young families, a quiet floor would be amazing but will absolutely stay again.

Nice facility, clean and modern. Beds were comfortable, washrooms were clean. Breakfast was good, though very busy, the hotel staff kept everything well organized and did a great job taking care of a lot of people. Location is close to many things but not much of a surrounding view, not the hotel's fault!

The rooms and property were very clean and tidy. Our kids had a good time visiting the pool. The hotel organized an egg hunt for all the visitors who had kids. Our kids had an especially fun time during the egg hunt. It is a very safe and kid friendly hotel and the staff are so friendly. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Ottawa and spend their time close to downtown. The price is very affordable and fair.
