A disappointing hotel experience

We booked a room via Hotels.com, received confirmation, and thought everything was fine. Only one hour later – in the evening – the manager called to say there was no vacancy after all. He offered only a family room for €30 more. When I asked if he could cancel the booking, he said no, that I had to do it myself. Since the booking was under a no-cancellation policy, this left me trapped: either pay extra or lose everything. It felt like being held hostage. The quality of the hotel certainly does not match the price we paid. The breakfast was good and the service staff friendly, but the overall experience left us feeling scammed. Would not recommend, especially given the way the booking was handled.

ich hatte mit Balkon gebucht leider war der Balkon auch fĂŒr das fĂŒr den Nachbarn, leider waren das starke Raucher und ich konnte zeitweise den Balkon nicht nutzen wegen der Rauchentwicklung dabei hatte ich ein Rauchfreies Doppelzimmer gebucht es war fast nie möglich zu lĂŒften. Das ganz große Manko war dass kein Restaurant zur VerfĂŒgung stand ich habe das erst bemerkt als ich schon bezahlt hatte, meine Frau hatte mich nach der Speisekarte gefragt und dann stand da vorĂŒbergehend geschlossen, nach dem Anruf bei dem Hotel wann das Restaurant wieder geöffnet wird wurde mir gesagt das sie kein Personal hĂ€tten. Nie wieder in dieses Hotel.

Nice staff and clean rooms. Nice surroundings and very good breakfast. Lacked restaurant for dinner but only a short walk to the pub in the village. Also possible to order delivery. Sound from showers and flushing toilets travelled between rooms but did not wake me up when sleeping.

Överreklamerat hotell

Avloppsrören var gemensamma med andra rum, vilket innebar vÀldigt hög ljudnivÄ, man vÀcktes nÀr nÄgot annat rum spolade. Rummet luktade vÀldigt illa vi misstÀnkte att det var mögel. Vi pÄpekade det i receptionen och fick intrycket att vi inte var de första som klagade. Standarden pÄ hotellet motsvarade inte raitingen.
