It is a Victorian property with modern amenities. Every one of the staff goes out of their way to be accommodating. Breakfast is delicious with numerous fresh options, the bar is cozy, and the courtyard is inviting. I loved everything about it and recommend it to travelers who like unique and genuine hotels, not plastic and cookie cutter boxes. A jewel.

Relaxing stay.

Very friendly staff, checked me in earlier as I had arrived to the hotel after a trans-Atlantic flight. Also gave me an upgrade to a very nice room, extremely quiet hotel despite being fully booked. A nice bar and restaurant on premises.

Convenient and comfortable

Perfect if you want parking and accessibility to the north side of town. Convenient to historic sites associated with the "Inklings" (Tolkein, Lewis, etc) such as the Tolkein bench, the Lamb and Flag, etc, and to The Old Parsonage (if you're a foodie). A pleasant 10-20 minute walk to all the main sightseeing destinations and colleges. Hotel was comfortable and the on-site restaurant was good. Overall, an excellent value.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a lovely lodge and in walkable distance to the main city. The food in the restaurant was amazing but a small menu and a bit pricey. Lots of parking and helpful staff.

Cotswold Lodge is a very comfortable hotel with great staff. It's on a bus route right in to the city centre that is quite convenient. There are some amenities that are absent - bar fridge, lift, room safe and AC (there was a heat wave on during our stay). We would stay there again but during cooler weather.

This is a charming B&B in Oxford. Our room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable and very good. Easy walk to a great Pub across the street. On the bus route to Oxford center but an easy 20 minute walk as well. I booked through Expedia and was charged immediately even though my reservation was refundable. Most refundable reservations do not do this. This impacted my purchase of travel insurance to qualify for any pre-existing conditions to be covered. Other than that I would recommend The Cotswold Lodge.
