We paid for upgrade to room with fireplace. We were told on arrival that the fireplace was not approved by the county so can't be used. Why are you advertising the fireplace and collecting extra $ for it, but its not usable?

Check-in was great, super friendly and helpful.....thanks Curly! Room was spacious, clean and certainly retro. Location is stellar, short walk to El Paseo. The only negative was that the cable was MINIMAL, no relevant channels, and the smart TVs are large and wonderful but NOT smart as their smart features have been disabled. So! No good channels on cable, no casting, no way to get Netflix or any other streaming service. So sad! Everything else was great.

We always enjoy our quiet visits here. The pool and grounds are immaculate, beautifully arranged. Rooms are simple retro with robes, minibar, delicious coffee. Bikes are a lovely touch as are the sweet breakfast boxes delivered to your door. Friendly and helpful staff.
