I stayed at Hotel Leyre during San Fermin, not for the first time. It is always my first choice due to proximity to the Plaza de Toros and the standard of accommodation. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast is wonderful - something for everyone! Highly recommended.

The rooms were great. Small, but perfect for 2 people. The service was out of this world. People are really nice. About a 20 min walk from Plaza Mayor. But 5 min from the train station. Very locally centralized.

I was very disappointed with the hotel staff as son as we walked in. Very unfriendly and rude, never even look at me when speaking to me. Especially the front office middle age lady with dark brown short curly hair. I was asking for help with transportation to another town and she was very short then told me to go to the bus stop and ask. I asked for a bottle water and they told me to go get it at the store across the street. The housekeeping staff smoked in the hall way and stairways so the whole hotel smells horrible. I fell as if they didn’t want to deal with us Americans. Will never come back to this hotel again. I’ll take my American’s money and spent it some where else.
