Wenn man über die kleine Brücke fährt, an der man sein Geschick im Autofahren testen kann, was aber keine allzu große Schwierigkeiten bedeutet, ist man in einer anderen Welt, auch wenn man ab und zu die eingleisige Bahnlinie und die Straße mit ihren Geräuschen vernimmt, was aber keineswegs stört. Es ist so, wie auf den Bildern von Stella dargeboten: eine wunderschöne Natur mit Blick auf das Meer und bei geringem Dunst auch auf Stromboli. Wir hatten von den drei Einheiten die größte. Gewiss etwas altertümlich aber höchst charmant und gemütlich und großzügig, was Räumlichkeiten und Terrasse anbelangt. In den Tagen dort entwickelte sich in der Tat so etwas wie ein kleines Heimatgefühl. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, so dass man richtig loslegen kann mit den Lebensmitteln, die man im Ort erworben hat. Günstig wäre da ein Stadtplan von Tropea im Haus, der einem die etwas größeren Supermärkte verzeichnet. Sehr sorgfältig fanden wir, dass nach ein paar Tagen ein Freund des Hauses di Rocca sich erkundigte, ob alles in Ordnung wäre. Abgesehen davon dass man natürlich Stella oder ihre Mutter jederzeit anrufen kann, wenn Not am Manne bestehen sollte. Ich würde jederzeit dort wieder gerne wohnen.
