I’m extremely disappointed with the hidden fees I encountered during my stay. When I paid, I was charged significantly more than the actual Euro-to-USD exchange rate. For example, the standard rate was around $1.10 per €1, but I was charged $1.18 per €1. Why? Because the hotel tacked on an 8.6% commission—something they never disclosed at any point in the booking or payment process. This wasn’t explained on the website, the invoice, or anywhere else. I only discovered it after reviewing the numbers and doing the math myself. To be clear, this isn’t about minor fluctuations in exchange rates. It’s about a hidden commission that drastically inflated the cost of my stay. That’s deceptive, and it’s not how a trustworthy business should operate. I’ve filed a dispute with my credit card company and would strongly caution other travelers to double-check the charges before booking here. Transparency matters—and unfortunately, that was lacking in this experience.

If you want the center of things -- the Les Halles Citadines property is a great place to stay. LOVED THE SHOWER!!! Bed was OK... property close to so many things including the metro. Would stay here again.

location is it’s best feature for Paris.

Property is located in a great area in Paris providing easy access to the metro and bus or taxis. Front desk Staff were all very helpful in navigating the metro, recommending restaurants, etc. and spoke English. We found the beds quite hard and a bit lumpy. The weather was warm when we were there but the property had a lowest set point for the thermostat at 22C. It was very warm in the room and hard to sleep. We spoke to the front desk and they changed it to 19 for us. Just a note…don’t touch the thermostat once it’s changed or it defaults back to 22 and you have to get the front desk to adjust it again. I was under the assumption that breakfast was included with our stay. When we checked in no mention was made that there was a charge for breakfast. I feel that is something that should be told to guests. When we checked out there was an additional charge we had to pay since we ate there every day of our 6 night stay. I thought it was a lot of money for what they offered in my opinion. It was just your typical scrambled eggs, sausage, some cheeses & cold meats. They offered bread, pastries, cereal, limited fruit as well. The location of the property and staff is its best selling feature for this property.

We really liked having the kitchenette and a larger room during our 5 night stay. Room had modern finishes. It was also nice having a laundry facility on site.

The hotel is clean and modern with friendly reception desk and breakfast available if you pay for it. The room is spacious with fully equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom. They have a laundry room but for some reason the downloaded apps did not work for me. The hotel is well located in Les Halles right across the major Metro/RER station (Chatelet Les Halles) at a large pedestrian square filled with restaurants and shopping incl.a big mall. The hotel, however, was not able to check us in to the one bedroom at the check-in time 3pm due to some cleaning issue on their end. After about 40 min later, they were able to provide us with 2 separate studio rooms for my daughter and me with no extra charge, and my daughter was so happy to get her own room for once at a hotel! Overall, this is a great extended stay hotel and I will stay with them again.

Great hotel in the center of it all

Great renovation. Stayed in one bedroom. Rooms are well layed out. Lots of stoarge space. Small kitchen very handy and laundry available . Second time at this hotel and would definitely stay again. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Beds are on the harder side.

Modern spacious apartment with kitchen in walking distance to everything and 1 minute to metro. Great shopping and parks around hotel. Very vibrant nightlife in the area with many outdoor restaurants and cafes. Kitchen could have better supplies with larger glasses and mugs as they only fit 1/2 cup liquid and only 2 of each in the room.
