Our Hidden Paris Flat

Our property was perfect for my husband, almost teenage grandson and myself. Couldn’t ask for more. However having to deal with 3 different groups to make arrangements was extremely stressful as their messages were at times contradictory. Also, the apartment’s entry alley was totally dark (lights didn’t work in alley) and the alley’s entry doors when locked were beyond difficult to open.

Communication Misleading

All text communication AFTER i booked went unanswered. We arrived at 4pm to pick up keys from lockbox and there were no keys. Took 30 minutes to get sorted and only communicated with call service so we stood on paris street with our large bags. Then we were able to enter unit but had to wait to 5:25pm for cleaning to be complete so we could get keys and leave our bags. Check out is at 10am unless you want to pay a fee by the hour. I asked about this before booking and was told "host is accommodating and you can work out after booking" which is misleading. No fee was ever mentioned. And one shower drain was not working at all

Paris

Apartment was very clean and roomy for 6 people to stay but the location is not good for family with young children. Since our requirements when we were searching for a place for our family of 6 were a central convenient location and have to be clean. This apartment looks like it has recently remodeled with very tasty and modern style and that was exactly how they look on the listing. However since this is our first time visiting France/Paris we didn’t know the areas very well. We found out a bit too late the street this apartment’s located isn’t exactly what I would have chosen for my family. It looks like just a normal retail shops during the day, but at night it’s definitely isn’t a place that we felt comfortable or safe. Look up Rue Saint Denis before you decide to book for your family especially with young children.
