Beautiful view, upgraded to cottage which was a fabulous surprise. It was so cute and so close to walk on the sandbar. The tide was far out, got to see birds, and deer! Just a very comfortable and homey feeling.

Property undergoing renovations- noisy and dirty. The room was not clean- lots of dust and stains. Curtains were filthy. Finally, the sheets had stains on them. We did not stay.

Location is perfect. View is stunning. The rooms are old (e.g. the bed wasn't flat and made noise anytime you moved a little bit - same with the couch). If you are wanting to lounge in the room for most of the day, this isn't your best bet. If you're planning to be out most of the day or on the balcony or on the beach, this is a great place.

Unbelievable location! We lived this old school yet modernized hotel right on the beach. The bed, the sheets were very comfortable. The kitchenette was well stocked and the balcony was a bonus. Check-in was easy, fast and friendly including a courtesy call a few hours later. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We love this motel, and it is undergoing a major upgrade which was pleasing. Some shabbiness still, with hole in wall and poor floor instal in bathroom and stairs to 2nd floor. But overall very nice bed, bathroom, kitchen and ammenities, decor and fabulous view. Bonus to have free minigolf nearby and beach access. Service was friendly. Excellent value in the off season

It was such a treat to wake up every morning to the spectacular sunrise over Parksville Beach. I sat on my patio with coffee. Went for low tide walks way out into the bay. The Sea Edge has location in spades. This was my second stay this year!
