Surrounded by countryside, birdsong, fruit trees and big Northland skies, it’s a quiet rural retreat close to beautiful beaches, coastal walks, cafés and local essentials.

Tucked away just 25 minutes east of Whangārei, our self-contained cabin is made for guests who want to slow down, breathe deeply and enjoy a quiet rural retreat while still being close to beaches, coastal walks, cafés and local essentials.

It’s perfect for couples, solo travellers, nature lovers and work-from-anywhere stays. Start your morning with coffee on the deck, explore nearby beaches and walking tracks during the day, then come home to a BBQ dinner, peaceful garden views and clear starry skies.

Inside, the cabin is private, comfortable and thoughtfully set up with a queen bed, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, Smart TV, kitchenette, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, filtered water and fast Starlink Wi-Fi.

A dedicated workspace is available at no extra cost, making it easy to settle in for a quiet remote-work escape. Please let us know before arrival if you would like this set up for your stay.

Guests also have access to a gym with strength and cardio equipment, ideal if you want to keep up your fitness routine while enjoying a peaceful country break. For longer stays, shared laundry access is available by arrangement.

Outside, enjoy your own private deck, peaceful garden outlook and access to our edible garden with more than 150 fruit trees. Depending on the season, guests may be able to enjoy fresh organic fruit and vegetables from the property.

Self check-in, free parking and a private setting make arrival easy and relaxed. We live on the property with our family, but the cabin is separate and designed to feel calm, private and peaceful.

For guests travelling with an electric vehicle, a 21kW EV charger is available by arrangement at an additional cost.

Please note: we are in a peaceful rural location, so a car is recommended. The nearest local essentials are around 5 km away. The cabin is separate from our family home and designed to feel private, calm and relaxed.
