LOCATION
Located down a peaceful country lane and over a little ford Alsia Mill is cocooned deep in the countryside yet only a five minute drive to Sennen. This part of west Cornwall is a place of wild, untamed beauty, where golden beaches meet rugged cliffs, and the Atlantic waves whisper tales of seafarers past. The magical stretch of coastline is home to some of Cornwall’s most breath-taking landscapes, from the silky sands of Sennen Cove to the turquoise waters of Porthcurno, where the Minack Theatre perches dramatically on the clifftops—an open-air stage like no other, with the ocean as its backdrop.
For those who love the great outdoors, this is a walker’s paradise. The South West Coast Path winds along the cliffs, offering awe-inspiring vistas at every turn, whether you’re exploring hidden coves, spotting seabirds soaring above, or watching the sun sink into the horizon in a blaze of colour.
Food lovers will find themselves in heaven here, too. In the charming fishing village of Mousehole ( a short drive away) the highly acclaimed 2 Fore Street offers an exquisite dining experience, pairing fresh local ingredients with spectacular sea views. And for those who crave the taste of the ocean, Newlyn—one of the UK’s most historic fishing ports—is the perfect place to pick up the freshest seafood. Visit one of the many fishmongers and treat yourself to a fish supper, caught that very morning from the Cornish waters.
Whether you're drawn to the dramatic landscapes, the rich maritime heritage, or simply the slower pace of coastal life, West Cornwall is a place to be savoured, explored, and forever remembered.
LIVING
Nestled in the heart of this charming retreat, the cosy sitting room invites you to sink into one of three generously sized sofas, perfectly arranged around the warmth of a crackling wood burner, nestled within the original fireplace. The flickering glow casts a soft, golden light across the room, making it the perfect haven for lazy afternoons and snug evenings.
For book lovers, the overfilled bookshelves are a treasure trove, brimming with stories waiting to be discovered—simply take your pick, curl up, and get lost in a world of words. If a little friendly competition is more your style, a delightful selection of board games awaits, ready to spark laughter and rivalry alike. Gather around the spacious table at the far end of the room, spread out, and let the games begin! Whether you're unwinding with a novel, sharing stories by the fire, or indulging in a game night, this enchanting space is designed for ultimate relaxation and togetherness.
