31/2* with potential to be 4*. Lovely hotel in a great location. Some design choices were not to my taste ( not a fan of the nib wall divider) and I don’t think it would meet all my needs if my stay was longer than 2 nights. No full length mirror in the bedroom or any mirror other than the vanity and no USB port which I find strange given it’s only recently opened. That said the bed was comfy, the shower was great and the complimentary mini bar and amenities were definitely a major plus. Will stay again as the location is perfect.

A lovely place to stay in Fremantle, so central to Markets, prison, shopping, cafes and restaurants. Part of the hotel is the renovated Warders cottages and part is brand new state of the art rooms. We found parking easy and staff communication and service excellent, both professional and friendly. We had found our initial room unsuitable due to public holiday events that made that side very noisy, but were immediately upgraded to an even better room which was very quiet and well away from the outside noise. The bed was huge and super comfortable and the bathroom was just fantastic - spacious and modern with a luxurious shower arrangement that you just wanted to stay in. Some lovely touches included a welcome drink, complimentary bar fridge and continental breakfast included. The breakfast rates a special mention. There was excellent coffee, tea, fruit juices, cereals, Bircher muesli, yoghurt, croissants and pastries, a variety of breads for toasting and spreads. We found the breakfast more than substantial, but for those with bigger appetites cooked breakfasts and barista coffee were available for an additional charge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have noted Garde as the premier place to stay in Fremantle

We loved our room, the design was unique, beautiful even for just the standard room (there’s nothing standard about it), luxurious spacious bathroom. Loved the mini bar was included and the light breakfast was anything but light. Really delicious breakfast with a lot of choice. The staff were so helpful and friendly, a great team. Quirky but comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere and close to shops, restaurants and ferry. Complimentary items is a bonus and the gin voucher was an excellent touch. Gimlet was awesome and wish we went earlier.

There was nothing overtly bad but for ~AUD 900 per night, the whole experience was below par. - Check-in: Confusing location, no pre-arrival warning. Had to walk around to find the reception - Room: Dismal lighting, creaky floorboards, 2 towels in a family room, bunk bed mattresses wafer thin and uncomfortable, standard amenities, room service sub optimal, no intercom or way to contact front desk, had to use international roaming to call front desk, generous complimentary minibar, liked the fresh/sparkling water dispenser In-room dining: limited options, no kids menu, this was less of an issue on the weekend due to proximity to Fremantle market Check out: Check out before noon is a rip-off, manager started banging down the door at 10:01 AM Overall would definitely not stay here again

Fabulous hotel in Fremantle

We loved our 2 nights in this beautiful new hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet. There were plenty of dining options within walking distance and the markets were close by. Parking was also available in the public parking areas.
