I was going to Ptbo for a friend reunion. We lived in the city for years so we are used to it. We went to check in and the man at the front was very rude on his phone watching YouTube while we were asking questions and the tried to make us pay twice. The person who helped us for check out was very kind though. We knew the location was going to be loud since it was across from the bar, but there was people knocking on our door at midnight and 1 in the morning, then running away. Finally, the reason behind I am being brutally honest is we did not feel safe. I was with a group of girls and I shared the room with one other girl. We were getting reading for bed and went to lock the door and the security lock was broken off. We took a picture and when to the front desk to ask the man there if there was any thing we could add to lock the door more securely and he said “no it can’t be locked fully incase we need to get in and check on the room” which made us very uncomfortable. The hotel room was also very rundown which was fine until we went to shower and the water smelt weird, the tap barely worked, and we found a dirty sock that did not belong to us under the pillow. It was unfortunate that we had this experience with this hotel since I know how long it had been around but it was just an enjoyable experience.

We parked close by at the King Street Parkade which was free (evenings and weekends). Lots of walkable options for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is a bit dated, but nice rooms. The bedding and bathroom were clean.

Decent place

Nice place in the heart of Peterborough downtown. Nothing bad to say about it. Right by the bus station for easy access.

I liked the service provided by staff but rooms could use a little upgrading and the fact that you have to park a half block away was somewhat inconvenient. Free breakfast did not include any hot meal. Only cereals, toast, bagels, fruit etc. For the price of the room, it could have been better!!!

The photos must have been taken a number of years ago. The window blinds had many broken slats and the handle to turn them open/closed was only reachable by someone very tall. The pillows ...they have lived a long life. The carpet had spots. The comfortable chair (as in not the desk chair) was covered in spots and stains. The bathroom needs bleach. The fireplace glass has never been cleaned. The good point is that the room was very large (I booked a deluxe as I did not want to risk a small old room). The staff we all friendly and engaged and helped me figure out the fireplace and TV controls. I had great hopes for what looked like a downtown treasure but I dont see myself going back.

Nice hotel in downtown Peterborough

Our room looked nice, but it’s a little run down. There was a fireplace, fridge and microwave in the room, and a coffee maker. The heater was very weak and didn’t work well, the room was very cold. Hair dryer didn’t work. The hotel is right by Galaxy Cinemas, and within walking distance to Peterborough Bus Terminal. There are many restaurants nearby. We got a good price, it was affordable to stay here.

Positives: Inexpensive overnight stay, within close walking distance to Market Hall when the winter weather forecast was going to be questionable for us to drive home after concert. Location is close to many dinner options with guest parking available nearby which is free on weekends. Front desk welcoming on arrival and checkout was easy -- just hoping our pending $200 deposit on my credit card is removed in next couple days. Negatives: This Inn is tired/dated but suited our needs just fine for the price. Continental breakfast was suffice but they ran out of coffee in the big urn at 9am (made more when asked) and no yogurt available either (and there was no more available when asked). In-wall heating system in room did not put out any heat when turned on -- cold air only. Only heat source was from fireplace on other side of room that we had to keep on all night to be comfortable -- The room was 62 degrees when we arrived. Overall: Nothing special but price was reasonable.

It was very cozy, comfortable stay, everything was clean and set up nicely, everybody was friendly and made it easy to navigate my first hotel stay, only complaints was that our ceiling light didnt work, but there qere plenty of lamps for light anyways, good stay for the cost and well worth it. Thank you to the staff for a good weekend
