Enjoy a wonderful experience at this centrally-located place with two bedrooms, two baths, second floor apartment near the Convention Center, Chinatown, Center City and everything that Philly has to offer.
Located in the City Callowhill section, Callowhill is an up-and-coming neighborhood in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. Callowhill has a growing reputation for its vibrant arts and nightlife scenes. Fittingly, Callowhill neighbors the Edgar Allan Pоe National Historic Site. Featuring theaters, music venues, and other creatives spaces in converted factories and warehouses this trendy, artsy locale is also known as the Lofts District. Combined with a colorful arts presence, there is never a dull moment in Callowhill. Celebrate with friends at one of the neighborhood breweries or catch a show at Underground Arts or Union Transfer, which hosts events nearly every night of the week. Callowhill central location allows residents to walk to grab anything from authentic global eats to the hometown favorite, cheesesteak. This area is great due to its close proximity to the Temple University, Drexel University College of Medicine, and several other. A car isn't necessary, as most nearby places can be reached on foot or hopping on the subway. If you do opt to drive, several highways, such as Interstate 95 and the Schuylkill Expressway, can be reached within minutes. Lace up your walking shoes because this area is considered a walker’s paradise.

Getting to Callowhill by bike or on foot from surrounding neighborhoods is no problem. SEPTA’s Broad Street line also provides an easy in, with stops at both Spring Garden and Vine streets. It’s an area easily explored by car as well, though parking can sometimes pose a challenge (However, Vine Street features secure lots)

Location felt safe and was convenient for the parking lot I pre-paid for, even with young kids, I wasn’t worried about walking with them to the location. After reading other reviews, I see what “needs work” means. to someone looking for a posh stylish place, it’s not going to be for you. For us who needed comfortable beds, wellmaintained appliances and appropriate seating for a family of 4 and not a lot of stairs to climb, this was perfect for our price range. Host was quick to respond to inquiries, and was accommodating to my early check in request. The neighboring weed smell was plentiful, but not unusual these days, and wasn’t noticeable in the property, just in the hallway. The noise level was tolerable. There’s lots of “city night life” noise, but I noticed at 3am it was peaceful. We noticed no live critters to be concerned with, nor rogue hairs, but did find one dead bug, but, you’re visiting a big city, critters aren’t an unusual, and thing. he was swept up with the provided devices! Overall, pleased with everything.

In the host’s bathroom I saw a roach nymph (young roach) crawling on the bathroom wall. I killed it and flushed it down the toilet. Further looking in the bathroom I located a Combat roach bait under the bathroom mirror and another on the floor under the bathroom vanity. A roach nymph is a clear indication that they’re nesting and reproducing. I also saw two more Combat roach baits on the kitchen floor along the refrigerator. I messaged the host that I do not want to invite this problem into my home by roaches getting into my suitcases and belongings, and will not be staying the night. Additionally, found hair on one of the beds. Host never responded.

Poor parking. The listing didn't mention how difficult parking is there. I had elderly people with me that had trouble with the stairs, which weren't mentioned in description. Found a cockroach in the dishes. Hallway smelled like someone was actively smoking a joint. Lots of neighbor noise.

This past weekend we celebrated my best friends bachelorette trip! This location was perfect for chill vibes and a lowkey girls weekend. So close to everything we wanted to do. It was clean and easy to find and enter/exit. Very quiet and friendly neighbors. Parking is up the street so that was nice as well. Would recommend!

Comfortable and Clean

This property worked great for us as we were visiting family right around the corner. Beds were so comfy and it was awesome to have a/c as it was so hot and humid. Only complaint is people talking loudly outside at 1:30am Friday- Sunday, probably coming from the bar next door, but that's not the owner's fault. We will stay here again!

Awesome Apt at the best location

My daughter and I loved this apartment! The high ceilings makes it feel so spacious. Overnight parking is only 2 blocks away. The location is perfect for walking to Reading Terminal Market and China town. The host was very helpful and responded quickly! Id definitely stay here again!

5 Night Stay

We had an overall pleasant stay here. Gladys was responsive and easy to communicate with. The apartment is located in an older building within easy walking distance to notable attractions and central Philly but is in a bit more of an industrial area. We travel with earplugs and would recommend if you’re a light sleeper. The apartment had some basics available but if you plan to cook/eat in you’ll need to stock up. Because the apartment is conveniently located, there are things like Reading Terminal Market, Trader Joe’s, Good Spirits and Fine Wines, 7-11, and others within 15-20 minutes on foot to get what you need. We enjoyed the city and look forward to visiting again.

First visit to City of Brotherly Love

Location was easy to locate, to walk to downtown, and hop on tour bus to see all the sites. Fell in love with Philly. The cleanliness of the city, the friendliness of people, and beauty. I was with tween boys and we even walked the bridge over the Delaware River to Adventure Aquarium, fantastic walk, and perfect weather the whole weekend. The apartment was cozy and quiet, so we easily slept and recharged for next day. Great trip…would do it again at same location

Perfect Location

The apartment was clean and very comfortable for our family. Its proximity to the convention center allowed us to park our car in the public lot a block away for the whole weekend and just walk everywhere. The building was very secure. Out host, Gladys, was very communicative with check-in/out instructions. We especially loved the pub on the next block (great food and music, very cozy)! Would definitely stay here again.

Convention center visit

This was our first time to Philly and the experience of staying in a city apartment was fun. This location is an easy 10 min walk to the convention center. The apartment was well stocked with items, and was so nice to have a washer and dryer! The streets were fairly quiet and I felt safe walking with my children in the area. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

Great location - just as advertised

The apartment was just as advertised, off the main road but conveniently located on a quieter street. Numerous restaurants are within walking distance but a large grocery and pharmacy are a 5 minute walk away. Entry and exit was smooth and uncomplicated and secure parking is 1/2 block away. We'd gladly stay again.
