Terrible Stay at the Sonder Ovation

The elevators were not working and I have disability and needed help going up and down the stairwell. The elevator was still not working on my checkout date. I tried to chat with Sonder online but was never connected to an agent until Late Wednesday night. The person staying above me was noisy and kept me from falling asleep. They woke me up at 6:30 am. I will never stay at the Sonder Ovation in Philadelphia again.

Excellent Location & Stay

We stayed here for the Eagles parade and it was absolutely perfect. The beds are super comfortable and the apartment was roomy and had everything that was needed. For the prior complaints about noise, I think it's somewhat unrealistic of expectations. It's in a dense part of a major city and will have major city noise. Having grown up in Philadelphia and staying with two five year olds, we had no issues with noise during sleep. Would gladly stay here again.

That place allround exceesed my expectations!!! From dealing with their customer sercive cia text or phone (because Expedia couldnt hep me out) to the nearby grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, close to a metro line. Room itself was clean and cleaning staff was friendly.... If the price is right, Ill definately stay at a Sonder again!!! GO BIRDS!!!

Great place to stay near downtown

Great stay. Building and apartment was clean. The 1 bedroom apartment with office was beautiful and well appointed. Parking is on street only and is limited. Great neighborhood though, plenty of restaurants, shops, etc. within walking distance.

The location was amazing!! Photos and descriptions were exactly as described. Be prepared for the difficulty with parking. But overall a great experience and will definitely book again!!!

Beautiful and clean apartment with great views. Only downside was strange noises coming from the master bathroom walls at night…random pounding. Ear plugs and a sound machine were provided and now we know why.

The place is very nice. However, the walls are paper thin and the noise from the street below is unbearable. They left us earplugs and we figured out why the first night! Impossible to sleep with the noise. Beds were uncomfortable as well.

Good place but very loud

Place was in a pretty good location and walkable to most of downtown Philly. The room was in good condition and comfortable, a good size, and I liked the beds. The only problem was that it is extremely loud staying here. It’s right on the main road in Philly so there is lots of traffic, a subway that seemingly goes by every 5 minutes all day and most of the night right under the building, and a fire station right next door. If you’re a light sleeper then you won’t get any sleep at all, but if you’re a sound sleeper it won’t be as bad.

Horrible experience

The hotel was dirty and had cockroaches!! We found 2 of them. The pillows smelled like sweat I thought the linens were dirty but no it was the actual pillows that smelled. The floors were dirty as well. It was too expensive for that type of hotel. They have old pics online I guess they are from when they opened because all the walls are dirty

- Difficult to get in. Didn't know there was no one working. Had to shuffle through emails in 30 degrees weather with my family to get in. - No ice - Shower barely worked. The pressure is so low very hard to get it to come through shower head +soap dispenser did not work +pot hole outside front door, my wife's foot fell in and almost sprained it - Upon checkout, homeless man laying sleeping in our hallway as we are leaving.
