Tämä entinen rautatieläisten mökki valittaa höyryä rautatie harrastajat, kävelijöiden ja perheiden keskuudessa. Sijaitsee rauhallisella Hamlet, peltojen ympäröimänä ja kävelyteiden portilla North Yorkshire Moors kansallispuisto, mutta helpon kävelymatkan päässä Pickering, jossa on supermarketteja, perinteisiä pubeja ja laaja valikoima ravintoloita. Mökki tarjoaa yksinoikeudella eturivin paikalta majesteettinen höyryn veturit NYMR, joka etenee "etanan vauhdilla" ohi mökki ja tarjoavat suurta viihdettä lapsille, nuorille ja vanhoille! Huomaa, tämä on yksityinen linja, patio on täysin aidattu ja aidatulla ja höyry junat kulkevat erittäin hitaasti n. Klo 9 ja seitsemäntoista, aikana matkailukausi. Mökki on kaksinkertaiset, kaasu keskuslämmitys ja jatkuva kuuma vesi, täysin varustettu keittiö ja olohuone / ruokailutila, satelliitti TV, avotakka ja lisäksi vuodesohva. 2 makuuhuonetta (1 double / twin & 1 aikuinen punkkaa). Pysäköinti 2 ajoneuvojen ja oma patio BBQ. Ei lemmikkejä.
Tämä mökki sijaitsee kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Pickering Castle. Majoituspaikka tarjoaa esimerkiksi pyykinpesutilat. Mökissä tarjoaa asiakkaille ilmaisen Wi-Fi-yhteyden ja keittiön.

The property was in an ideal place for watching the trains, it was very well equipped and very clean. The cottage had everything you needed and more, a total home from home. Lovely area to sit out side nice views and lots of trains. Perfect.

Stayed here on my own as my wife couldn't come due to work commitments. Cosy cottage with everything you could need. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy bed. And trains! What more could you ask?!!

A lovely little cottage that has everything you need including safe off road parking. Great position for watching the trains and, of course, waving at everyone. Well placed for visiting the coast and moors. The most comfortable bed i have ever slept in at a holiday let! Nice welcome pack of goodies on arrival, thank you. Would hope to visit again.

Beautiful location, can’t wait to back in the summer time,

Railway cottage, we were unfortunate not to have the trains, but all the surroundings were full of being right on the railway line, close to the town of Pickering, with lovely restaurants, and all the east coast easily accessible, we all had a lovely holiday in North Yorkshire,. The cottage had all we needed, with a log fire and a cosy feeling. Would recommend it

Spiritual renewal for steam fans

Great everything, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, social distancing or no social distancing. NYMR ran four services a day (eight including the return) which all ran so close you could almost hold a conversation with the driver & fireman. Lovely location, aspect and accommodation, will definitely return.

Little gem

Excellent cottage with lots of nearby options

We were a family of four and stayed for a week. The communication with the owners ahead of the visit was very good and made sure we knew everything we needed. The house is a nice size with all the amenities we needed. We would certainly think about coming again another year.

A perfect few days

We only had a short stay but it was so relaxing as the cottage is lovely and comfortable (super beds) and watching the trains go by proved to be quite addictive! WiFi kept teenagers happy. Restaurants in the town kept us all happy. A super place for something a little different 🙂

Fantastic stay

A lovely cottage and a fantastic base for exploring the area. The perfect location for our 4 year old train buff to watch the steam engines passing by. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning.

A wonderful rural retreat next to the NYMR preserved railway and signalbox.

A beautiful railway cottage set in a lovely rural location with the NYMR steam engines just beyond the garden picket fence. Lots of birds and wildlife in the adjacent fields. The cottage had everything you would need for your stay and was very comfortable. The welcome pack including wine and chocolates was a nice touch. We are looking forward to our stay there again in 2020.

Cosy cottage in an excellent position.

Spent a lovely week in railway cottage for October half term. As can be seen from the photographs the cottage is in a brilliant position for seeing the steam trains traveling from Pickering (approximately a mile away so easily walkable) to Whitby, what the photo's don't show is the yard just behind the cottage where the locos for the first two services of the day are kept so you can also watch them being put away in the evening and steamed up in the morning. The cottage itself is small but plenty big enough for the three of us and very well equipped and cosy, especially in the autumn when there's a lovely open fire to keep things toasty. The owners are very friendly and helpful, we had a minor problem with the bath and they did all they could to sort it out and make sure it didn't spoil our stay. Pickering is a very central location with loads to do within a small radius, lots of nice walks very near by, many museums, castles and Flamingo land theme park and the national bird of prey centre all within twenty minutes drive or so. York with all of its attractions (use the park and ride) is about half an hour away as are Whitby and Scarborough by car, or you can walk into Pickering and get the steam train to Whitby as we did. All in all we had a lovely stay and would hope to go back again.

Reasonably comfortable and well equipped.

Unfortunately due to illness on my husbands part and an accident on my part we were not able to go to Pickering. We have stayed 4 or 5 times in previous years and really like the accommodation. We like being so close to the steam trains and the accommodation suits our needs.

Steam Train Enthusiasts Paradise

The cottage is a lovely clean well equipped cottage with everything you could need. But it''s the location which really sets it apart. If you like steam trains, you will love this place. It's position, right next to the North York Moors Railway makes it perfect as the massive trains trundle past on their journeys throughout the day.
