Beautiful Cabin but disappointing and frustrating complications
Cabin advertised a grill which was not functioning when we showed up. Having planned many of our meals around grilling for 8 men, this complicated our plans and resulted in us buying 30 worth of charcoal. Cabin also advertised a fridge which was not even powered on when we arrived, so much of our food either spoiled or got frozen completely in our ice chest and the freezer. Dish washer constantly would shut off during cycles due to breaker issues which was only solved by texting back and forth with property owner. Property owner was prompt and apologetic but unfortunately when you are paying almost 1,200 for a weekend, your renters are paying more than to spend several hours troubleshooting various problems with the property instead of enjoying the trip. My impression was that the property hadn’t been directly attended to for an extended period of time due to there being almost no paper towers, dish detergent, or garbage bags. Several cobwebs were located across door ways up stairs upon our arrival, and the garage had a strong smell of a decaying animal.The cabin was beautiful and the land was gorgeous with plenty of fishing, but the cabin was poorly attended to which largely ruined the trip. I would not recommend staying here unless the cost is significantly lowered or more reliable appliances are available.
