The rooms are clean and updated, staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is very convenient to UPMC Shadyside and Hillman Cancer Center. My only complaint would be the awful garbage smell on the 3rd floor coming from the Housekeeping closet. It smelled as soon as the elevator door opened and in the hallway for the entire 4 days I stayed. I did mention it to the front desk so they can make improvements.

Excellent Stay/Neighborhood - Awesome Breakfast

This has been our “go to” hotel when visiting family in Pittsburgh for the past 8 years. Our stays have always been great, and only reason I shaved off some points for Cleanliness this time is because of the bathroom in Rm 426 - vanity mirror was very dusty around all edges, sink pipe needs to be snaked (very slow drain) and a lot of dirt on shower and main floor

No one knows how to use bus from or to the hotel. One person bluntly told me to find it out myself and hung up hastly when I called.

We chose this property for its proximity to Shadyside Hospital. The breakfast room offers a takeout box for those who can't hang around for breakfast. I also appreciated the sectional sofa included with my room.

My husband was having cancer surgery at the hospital 4 mins from hotel. Due to some setbacks, I had to and am still here extend my stay. The personnel here are helpful and show compassion when the need arises. So happy I chose Hyatt. Would recommend highly. Not enough stars to show my gratitude

We really like this hotel because the rooms have a great layout, like a studio apartment. Parking is located right next to the hotel and doesn't cost a fortune like other hotels in the area. There are lots of great dining options down Liberty including the Church Brew Works and Gepettos (for breakfast). The hotel staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean

We received a message from Hyatt stating the room was ready prior to the check-in time: we made an almost two hour drive about four hours early and were turned away due to the room not being ready. The employee acknowledged that this is a known issue with their system. The hotel was nice and the room was a nice layout, but cleanliness in the room was less than satisfactory. I was also told at check in and check out that a hold would be placed on my card and lifted within 3-5 business days. Today is day 5 so I called for an update. I was told that it may take 30 days. THIRTY DAYS! For this hold to be lifted. This is unacceptable, and they should be clear when taking the card that it could be longer depending on your banking institution. I am extremely unhappy with this customer service and will definitely avoid booking at Hyatt hotels in the future.
