Rate it 4.5, the cons are small complaints. Loved the resort, we had an amazing time. Would go back again to Lindo/Maya. Pro: -Buffet food is yummy with lots of variety and guac. -Lots of night entertainment options. -Room clean and good a/c. -Lots of walking, only wait 5-10 mins for golf cart. -Beach is beautiful and clean. -1hr included Kayak/SUP, cost $20US insurance for the week -Aquafit, beach games, gym were great -Service amazing. Con: -Buffet is outside, hot and lots of mosquitos. Bring bug spray! -Book a la carte reservations on app at 7am day of or walk in restaurants could have a waitlist. -Coatis out of control, don’t feed them or eat at the beach. -There was often a mix up with buffet nights compared to app. -We did the VIP breakfast and received 50$US towards excursion, be prepared they are very pushy. A la cartes: -Smoke house: wouldn’t recommend. chicken thighs ok, desserts were good -Mediterranean: apps and dessert good -Hacienda: Really good, similar food as Mexican buffet night. -French: Must go!

Amazing resort. They should open access to bars across all resorts. Also they need to have a 24/7 bar and food service. Closing everything at 1am is diabolical. Besides everything closing at 1am my experience at this resort was exquisite.

Buckle in for a honest review from someone who visits a lot of resorts (with the wife and one 16 year old. The property is massive. I had a 10 minute walk to the beach from my room. They have golf cart shuttles running around. A lot are nice and pick you up, a couple will run you over when you try to hitch a ride. The property grounds are a beautiful jungle setting and well maintained. I stayed at beach / del mar side (poor people side). Check in was normal, then to the "concierge" to "learn" about the property. All they want is to get you into a time share meeting. They will waste all you time until you get up a leave. The rooms are showing their age (showers are worn, leaking, tub was cracked, inches of caulk covering everything) All the restaurants are outside, Jungle mosquitos. Dinner buffet is for the mosquitos to eat you, not so you can eat the buffet. We liked the food. we mainly stayed with the buffet. Lots of bacon, eggs, guacamole, and well marinated meats. (and rabbit food) Hit or miss is the theme of this resort. Sometimes the waiters were awesome. Several times I had to get up and get my own water from the waiter stand(after waiting 10 minutes and eating half my food) Lots of entertainment and they include everyone (most of the time) They did ignore our request to join once and went out and gathered Spanish speaking families instead. nice gym. The tiers of the hotel is just petty. They won't even give you mosquito repellent unless you upgrade.

The hotel was lovely, a touch of authenticity with beautifully painted buildings. The room was very spacious and it had both AC and celeing fan, which were both so useful, but not aggressive. Walking through the jungle to get to the beach was our favourite part of the day. The food was great and the buffet was stunning, truly surprised with the quality and variety of food. There were also wild coatis and iguanas all around the property making it fun to try and spot them. Had a lovely time overall.

My wife wasn’t admitted at the buffet, the woman in charge says to us that my wife dress a swim wear and is a lie my wife was dressed with a white pans and a white top, we go out for dinner on Sunday to Playa Del Carmen and we was able to enter to a restaurant with the same wear, we also see a man with a shirt in the restaurant and we ask for the dress code and nobody was able to show it to us, is the first time we pass by this, even customer relationship person try to cover their co-workers at the restaurant

The hotel is beautiful, its people are friendly, and the food is delicious. The problem was with the room. On the first day, we asked to be moved, thinking the air conditioning was broken. They moved us, but the other room was the same. The engineering team came and checked, but nothing improved. In short, the heat was intense in the Mayan region, and the room gave us no relief. Also, the bed frame was very high, and we struggled to get in and out, afraid of falling. It is unfortunate because what ruined the experience was the bedroom. I do not recommend it.
