Disappointing Family Vacation Experience at Eco Sando, Cancun
My family and I stayed at Eco Sandos in Cancun for a week, hoping for a fun and relaxing vacation. We chose this resort because it was advertised as having a variety of activities for children and adults. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations.
Upon arrival, check-in took nearly an hour, which set a poor first impression. The quality of the food at the restaurants was disappointing, and the service was slow and inattentive. Servers seemed unmotivated, and overall hospitality was lacking. The waterpark offered only three large slides, with the rest geared toward very young children. My two teenage sons found there was little for them to do. The few activities available, Segway rides, the river, cenote, and waterpark all closed by 5 p.m., which felt unreasonably early for a vacation destination. For adults, live entertainment was minimal. The Michael Jackson show was enjoyable but ended early, as did the following night’s dance performance, which concluded by 10 p.m. The “all-white” beach party lacked energy, played the same music as earlier in the week, and also ended early. For a vacation setting, we expected events and attractions to run later into the night so guests could make the most of their stay.
The 90-minute timeshare presentation significantly cut into our vacation time. We shared our feedback directly with Raul, who facilitated the session, expressing that improvements in service.
