Do not ever stay here! In the middle of the night on our first night of our holiday, our room began flooding in the bathroom at 3 am, I went to find management and found another guest in the room below whose room was flooding as well, we needed to shut off all water, and they had to clean and mop the extensive flooding, and didn’t give us another room. We were up until 5am, and the next morning we had no water, couldn’t flush our toilet, take a poop, take a shower or brush our teeth. The so called “Manager” refused to compensate us anything for the atrocious service. I can understand things happen, but I cannot accept a “Manager” of a claimed 4 star hotel, is so inept at her job as to not compensate even something reasonable for the lack of service and inability to sleep through the night. I’ve never experienced such terrible service and no guest should ever be subject to managerial incompetence when such an extreme disruption of service occurs. Beware or Soho Playa! Please note, this is first negative review I’ve ever posted anywhere in the world so take that to heart. If you claim to be a hostel ok, but if you claim to be a 4 star hotel have competent management and act like it! Shame on you SoHo Playa. You should terminate your Manager. She is not up to the job!

Jessica at front desk bent over backwards trying to accommodate us. Always called us by name when walking by and constantly asking what time we’d like room cleaned and how we were. Other lady at front desk also wonderful

The hotel has past its prime. It needs better infrastructure and housekeeping. We had to request towels, soap and toilet paper almost daily even when leaving tips for housekeeping on a daily basis, and not just for the room, but for the lobby and pool areas. Needs improvements for sure.

The hotel is very clean. Staff are exceptionally nice and very helpful. Everyone speaks English. They work hard to keep the hotel maintained, though you may experience a couple of very minor issues. I would like to correct a prior review regarding the hotel not offering blankets, that is not correct. yes, when you check in there will be no blanket on your bed and there will be no blow dryer in your bathroom however, if you ask at the desk, they will provide you with both but you have to ask for them.
