Having stayed at this property 8 years ago during which time it was called the Thompson, it has declined somewhat and its starting to look and feel dated and a little tired considering its high cost. We loved its central location, hence why we returned and this time we stayed in the best suite, which was very spacious and comfortable but a little noisy, understandably due to its location. Fun experience

The hotel is nice, really liked the location. Clean rooms, no water pressure issues or anything. What really put this over the top for us was the staff. They were absolutely fantastic. Had a rough day at the airport getting there and they upgraded our room to help make our stay a little better. Pablo at the front helped us with bags and recommendations, and had such an infectiously cheerful demeanor. He was wonderful. Staff at the bar were right on queue along with the desk and Pablo. Fantastic restaurant recommendations and great conversations with all of them. Upon leaving the other concierge let us know our transportation was at the corner and wheeled out our bags a couple of blocks to the airport transfer. I’ve never encountered such a wonderful staff. Would stay here anytime and not think twice. Also El Fagon and Doctorcito were a couple of those restaurants that were recommended and they were incredible and inexpensive.

Staff were very hospitable and helpful. They go above and beyond to make to feel welcome and taking care of all my needs. Specifically Soraya at the front desk. My shuttle did not show up, she helped try to call the company, called the sister hotel in case the shuttle showed up there, and helped me get a taxi to the airport. Highly recommend!

In general the employees provided amazing service once we were there. My complaint is to the management. I reserved my room 2 months prior to my arrival. I had reserved on the Beach House with ocean view, they notified me the day before the Beach House was under construction and they had to change rooms. They didn’t charge me for valet and the rest of the fees to make up but I didn’t get what I wanted, and yes there is a lot of noise around the Downtown House.

Soraya and Pablo went above and beyond to helo my daughter and i with a safe check out. The staff treated ua like family and helped ua wirh a transport mix up. I was in distress becausey tranaport was unsure of when to pick up. Soraya called the transport company and she made sure we made our ride in time. Pablo rode his bike tonour pixk dedrimation to tell is about a mix up. They truly do care for customers and it shows. Thank you so much

This property is right downtown - and is loud at night due to the nightclubs. Music at the pool doesn’t appeal to Americans (local music) and is very loud-had to leave the pool one day and didn’t not return other days. Also they allow smoking at the pool. The plumbing system is poor - toilets not very operational. Nice staff.
