Comfortable stay

We had an enjoyable 2 night stay at leonardo Plymouth. The room (a family room) was fine for the money we paid. It was advertised as having two double beds but was actually a double and a small double/large single, so was a bit of a squeeze for a family of four. On arrival our room was set up for three, despite booking for four, so we needed to request more towels, mugs etc. the request wasn’t initially fulfilled so we had to ask again, which was a shame. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the sheets and pillows were in very good condition. We all slept well and felt well rested. The aircon in our room wasn’t working on the first night but was fixed when we reported it in the morning, which we were pleased about as it was warm and too noisy outside to have the window open. Breakfast was also pleasant - a good selection which was sometimes slow to be replenished, but it was a busy morning and we were not in a rush. The hotel was well located for the harbour and its restaurants and bars and the parking was reasonable at £10 per night. We would likely stay again, it certainly measures up to other chain hotels and was what we needed for our trip.

I’m disabled and the bathroom was difficult to use, the soap dispenser is over the left shoulder and for those unable to stand a free standing seat is necessary. The car park whilst adjacent is still a long way to carry items. Guests should NOT talk in corridor’s at night and DON’T allow doors to bang closed it’s annoying and disrespectful.

Good Location, but the parking was disgusting. Its external parking & hotel charges £10 but lift doesn't work & its in bad condition. Room was not clean, bathroom had mould in places & carpet was disgusting, curtains & chairs had stains. Ac was leaking & even after reporting to reception no action was taken. Restaurant & bar staff were nice.

Overall a lovely stay and spacious clean room in a convenient location. The only slight criticism is the room doors are so heavy, I realise they have to meet fire safety regulations, that a lot people just enter rooms and let them slam later at night. The occupant(s) next door to us did this and we almost got bounced back out of bed as not only very loud it shook the whole room. Maybe just putting signs on the doors and warning people might help. Apart from that all very good and would stay again
