The manager was great at communicating although reception closed at 4pm and we arrived after that to be met with a room that had filthy bathroom and bedroom mirrors like someone had wiped down with dirty clothes. You actually couldn't see yourself in the bathroom mirror, I had to get a cloth and clean. The carpet (1m2) was soaked next the the bed. I put layers of towels over it it by the morning they were brown with whatever they were soaking up. The property is very very run down. Toilet door falling apart at the bottom from water damage. Shower mixer broken. The beds were fine and the gas fire was great. I am yet to speak to the manager about compensation for the wet floor and condition of the room on arrival but he seems quite reasonable and was apologetic for the water which he didn't know about. But the property was dirty, old and rundown. The couches and bar/dining chairs are all Fabric and were filthy with stains and spills. Unfortunately needs a refresh, was probably lovely when first built. But the location next to peppers was great for an easy dinner at Nineteeen. It's just disappointing that properties don't maintain and update filthy furniture or sufficiently check their cleaners lack of cleaning skills. I don't often write reviews but sadly the 'boutique' part of this property is very misleading. But jason the manger was very prompt in responding to issues (although due to no other rooms couldn't move us).

Before we come, we received a message stating our room is ready but when we arrived the room was messy. So they changed our room so all good but everything are not working such as the heater, AC, DVD, etc. I dont like the shower inside bathtub, its dangerous for old people. The TV is not the smart TV. To be honest with the price that we pay we expect more. Last year we went to cessnock we stayed in the motel, we pay less money but they have smart TV, the AC is working, proper shower, etc. It's a bit underwhelming actually because the review were amazing but not in reality.

I booked 4 rooms and received a phone call 2 hours prior to check in requesting payment while driving the minibus even though they had my Card as security. On arrival the property has no EFTPOS machine and each separate room needed an SMS response from their bank. I booked with AMEX but it is not accepted for payment. It was very cold and 1 room had a sign declaring that the heater was unserviceable. This was not declared at check in. The rooms themselves were really spacious and had everything required for our stay.

A beautiful property, the grounds are well maintained. I was in a 2 single 1 king bed unit which was was very spacious and well layed out, beds were very comfortable. My issue was that the adjoining unit when they used the shower (which happened to be at 4.40am) and think maybe 2 or 3 showered individually, the noise in the main bedroom woke us up. It started as 4 bangs, followed by a whooshing sound then ended with constant beeping like a life support monitor, this would go on for as long as the shower was being used. We were woken twice during the night and had a very disturbed sleep. I also noted the walls and skirting boards could do with a clean, especially in the bathroom. Not sure if I would book again.

Excellent place to stay. We stayed in the cold months, so the hotel was pretty empty. They were doing some work on one of the units which made a little noise during the day. We didn't make use of the kitchen really, but great to have in case you stay for week or longer.
