The property is in a beautiful setting and looks great on the market pictures, but in reality it is severely neglected. As soon as we got into our room it smelt very damp and old. The glass in the bathroom cabinet doors was cracked and broken, the walls were marked, the paint was peeling around the bottom of the shower and the patio doors. The room was full of dust and wasn’t clean- the maids didn’t clean the bathroom properly at all and there was still hair in the shower from the previous occupant. What really made it apparent was when we went to the pool area. The Jacuzzi was absolutely disgusting.. it looked yellow in colour and dirt was settled on the areas where you sit in it. The pool was freezing and the jacuzzi was boiling.. the temperatures were completely off. We went to lay downtown the loungers in the pool area.. I moved the cushion on my lounger and there were two spiders that ran out from under the cushion. It felt like this place had just been abandoned and no staff members were going round cleaning things on a regular basis, hence the dirty jacuzzi and the spiders making homes on the loungers. There were cobwebs and insect nests all around the property walls and the gardens near the rooms weren’t kept well. We had one meal at the hotel and it was crazy expensive for how small the potions were. We would never stay again, it was a bad experience. This hotel has really diminished the good reputation we thought Voco had.

Such a beautiful spot with lovely views and the staff were amazing! So accommodating and helpful, and made our stay extra relaxed! Buffet breakfast was great and especially catering for gluten free. It would be helpful to have a toaster in the hotel room and even a plate or two and a set of cutlery for basic use. We love the atmosphere, & especially the spa, will definitely be back!

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Lovely place. Beds were uncomfortable sadly. There was a lot of banging noises from above our room which was annoying and kept us awake to early hours of morning. Views from our room were gorgeous. Room was kept cool from the exceptionally hot weather.

A perfect place to stay. The rooms are pristine and beautifully decorated. Large comfortable beds. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly and there is a warm friendly vibe throughout the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and a vast choice. Lovely grounds around the hotel for a leisurely stroll. I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Hunter’s Valley.

Loved this place! Everything is gorgeous especially with the Christmas decorations. Plenty of things to do, you don't even need to leave the hotel to find somethingto do. Indoor pool and spa is great coz you can swim in all weather.

The property was gorgeous, beautiful landscape and stunning interior, excellent buffet breakfast. The room was spacious - two queen beds fitted four of us comfortably. Service was great too - warm and helpful staff. The bathroom was a bit small though, shower pressure was low. Would have been good to have more accessible power points for phone charging.
