Some places just make you exhale.
Sanctuary sits quietly at the edge of Florida's Forgotten Coast — where the Gulf of Mexico stretches endlessly in front of you, St. Joseph Bay lies just behind, and the rest of the world genuinely cannot find you.
This isn't Old Florida nostalgia. This is Old Florida, still here. No high-rises. No waterslides. No lines. Just sugar-white sand, dolphin pods at dusk, pelicans in perfect formation, and the occasional bald eagle watching from a tall pine.
Walk two minutes from your door and you're barefoot on the beach.
Sanctuary was built for one purpose: to give your family — and yes, your dog — the kind of week you'll still be talking about in December.
🌅Morning at Sanctuary
Wake when you're ready. Step onto the wrap-around deck with coffee in hand and watch the Gulf light up in pink and gold. The Ice Cream Shop is a three-minute walk when you're ready. Or don't go anywhere. The deck and the view are enough.
🏖️ The Beach (Just a Two Minute Walk Away)
We timed it: door to sand in under two minutes via your private boardwalk. The beach here is the real Forgotten Coast — wide, quiet, and likely yours alone. Swim. Shell. Or just sit and remember what quiet sounds like.
🚣 Gulf & Bay Adventures
Sanctuary gives you two worlds of water. Kayaks are waiting for your St. Joseph Bay explorations — paddle to a sandbar, spot a stingray, or find the dolphins that work this shoreline daily. Prefer the Gulf? A two-minute walk away. Want a pontoon? Presnell's or Scallop Cove have you covered.
🍳 The Gourmet Kitchen
This is not a "fully equipped kitchen." This is a kitchen serious home cooks get excited about. Counter space, quality cookware, and room enough for the whole crew to cook together. Some of our guests' best meals have happened right here, not at a restaurant.
🛁 Wind Down Right
When the sun drops and dinner is done, the hot tub waits. The fire pit glows. Roast marshmallows. Tell the stories from the day. The stars here are extraordinary — no light pollution to dim them.
🐾 Bring the Whole Family (Yes, the Dog Too)
Cape San Blas has dog-friendly beaches. Sanctuary has a dog-friendly heart. Your four-legged family member is welcome here without apology.
