We had a fantastic holiday in this wonderful villa with a lovely traditional style, beautiful views and a great outdoor pool/patio with a nice mix of shaded and sunny spots. Great location just outside of Alvor town, roughly 5 min walk to the supermarket and another 10 mins into the centre of Alvor where you have an amazing selection of bars and restaurants to choose from. Carmen is a great host and housekeeper Filomena comes by a couple of times a week and was a great help. The villa is truly stunning and suited all of our needs. We will definitely be recommending this accommodation to friends and family. Thank you!

Alvor Portugal 2025

This villa was beautiful! It had old world charm, a wonderful swimming pool with sun and shade options, and a view of the river and surrounding valley. It was close to downtown, a grocery store, and a great restaurant. Our hostess was informative, pleasant, and attentive. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us, Carmen. Amazing property

Just returned from an extremely relaxing holiday in this villa - it was even better than the pictures.Carmen was great about communicating all the information we needed and Filomena was very attentive at checking on us while we were there. We felt well looked after as guests.We loved the spacious living area and bedrooms and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool area was perfect for enjoying the sun - we didn't really feel the need to move from there too much!The location of the villa is perfect - it is only a 5 minute walk from a good supermarket where you can get everything you need and a 15 - 20 minute walk into Alvor. Wonderful experience

Unique and beautiful villa, very well equipped and maintained. Felt very homely and nothing was too much trouble. Amazing location with a short walk to restaurants and a fantastic supermarket. Sad to leave the villa and beautiful Alvor

The property is stunning, and was just perfect for me and my family. its in a lovely residential area, which was just so peaceful and relaxing, and the pool area was wonderful. Summer Holiday

Just returned from 2 weeks family holiday. Beautiful villa with traditional ceiling in the lounge. The villa is maintained exceptionally well, cleaned 3 times per week, pool cleaned weekly. The pool was so relaxing with the July/August weather, with plenty of seating area to watch the sky divers, or relax in the sunshine. The villa is about 3 minutes walking from local restaurant, 6 minutes to supermarket and about 12 minutes to Alvor. So many restaurants, bars and shops. Lovely place to stay. Missing Alvor already. Personally we missed having air conditioning in the lounge and bedrooms, but fans are available to rent if required.

Spacious comfortable Villa

We really enjoyed our stay at Carmen’s villa. The check in process was smooth and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the pool area aswell as the back garden. There is loads of space to spread out if you are a larger group. It was good to have the housekeeper popping in for linen and towel changes and she also did some washing for us. We hired a car and felt this was useful for supermarket runs and visiting the local area but it isn’t essential.

Fabulous villa

Comfortable, well equipped and really interesting style combining tasteful old with modern convenience. Filomena, the house keeper was lovely, efficient and unobtrusive. The owner Carmen was very attentive and solved all the early niggles immediately. This is a great Villa for a family or a couple. Walking distance to some good restaurants too. Beds super comfortable. Linen change very regular and of great quality.

Villa was very impressive, the pictures dont do it justice. The villa is huge inside and out. Beautiful pool area, kitchen fully kitted out with everything you would need, honestly cant fault anything. We had a perfect holiday, teenagers loved it too. Miss it already !!

Had a fabulous stay in casa da Oliveira with three kids under 10 ! Pool was lovely and villa was beautiful , really authentic Portuguese. Would recommend car if kids coming but great location for adults , really quiet which is what we wanted . Filomena was great and host was lovely very responsive and helpful. Would love to return some time !

Fantastic holiday. Located only 5 mins from couple of great wee bars and restaurants and only 10-15 mins walk to the town. The villa itself is so relaxing, We sat on the patio reading and enjoying getting in the pool to keep cool. Housekeeping was done a couple of times and the pool guy comes around to keep the pool clean. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a holiday in Alvor.

Fantastic Villa & Service - Highly Recommend

A gem, perfectly tucked away in Alvor! We stayed for a week. The owner and housekeeper were very helpful, responsive, and friendly. The property is in great condition and is very spacious and clean. The location is great too. In a quiet part of town but walking distance to the centre of Alvor. We especially loved the quiet pool area with far reaching views and great sunsets! Highly recommended for couples or families.

Fabulous Villa in excellent location with beautiful views

We have just had the most special time with our family including our 1st grandchild of 5 months old. The villa is exceptionally clean with a homely spacious feeling, offering all the facilities and equipment you need; including lovely outside/poolside areas in peaceful surroundings. Location is excellent, very near to the local supermarket and only a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Alvor. Very friendly housekeeper on hand if you have any questions or needs All in all would recommend 100% and will definitely be back

The most wonderful villa in Alvor

Superb Villa

Our family of 5 had a wonderful week staying at Villa D’Oliveira. It is every bit as lovely as the photos on the website show. The owner Carmen was extremely helpful and attentive and made sure our holiday ran smoothly from beginning to end. We particularly enjoyed lazy days outside by the pool and the views from the villa at sunset are breathtaking. Would definitely recommend.

A perfect villa

We had a wonderful week in Carmen’s fantastic villa (3 adults and 3 teenagers). The location is perfect as it’s a 15 minute walk to Alvor with all the restaurants, bars and cafes, and a 20 minute walk to the lovely beach. As it’s away from the town it’s generally quiet with only occasional barking from a neighbour’s dog. The villa is huge with a well stocked kitchen. The pool is a good size and there is so much outside space. You can watch the skydivers while having breakfast by the pool. Filomena popped in every few days to check if we needed anything and Carmen was always quick to respond to queries. Would recommend a meal in the closest restaurant Dom Joao-fantastic Portuguese food. Also recommend using Alvor boat trips to see the caves and go snorkelling. The nearest supermarket is only a 5 minute walk away. Would highly recommend this villa and Alvor is a great location. Thank you Carmen.

Algarve return

Pre pandemic we had this property booked, from the moment we had to cancel it was our intention when the situation was allowed we would be going. Very easy to review a property that was everything it said it was. Carmen was a joy to deal with, very responsive and attentive. The maid was lovely and did her work quietly and without bothering us. Little to add except if you want a quiet break within easy walking of lovely Alvor this is well worth a visit. We travelled as 2 x 60 year old couples, thank you

Perfect Accommodations

Highly recommend! My family and I (5 adults- 3 generations) recently spent 10 days at this house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host, location and property were perfect! We used this house as our home base to visit neighbouring sites in the morning and relaxed by the pool in the afternoons. We have shared this property info with our friends and highly recommend Carmen and her home should anyone come to Portugal. 5 stars!

….a very welcome getaway

After eighteen months of Covid isolation, it was a real treat to get away to this villa in Alvor. The house was very well appointed, the weather was fine, and it was really peaceful. The host was very helpful and responsive, notably for putting us in touch with Maria, a local woman to come and cook some excellent meals for us. As is normal, there were one or two minor issues (e.g. re appliances), and the pool was not Olympic size, which the photo suggested. But since it was late September the pool was a bit too cool anyway. We all had a good time, and the villa was an excellent base for visiting beaches and towns in the Algave. A great getaway.

Fantastic!

Just returned for a fantastic holiday in this beautiful villa and would certainly recommend to anyone planning a trip. The villa itself is beautiful, airy, spacious and yet homely with a fantastic pool and equipped with everything to make your stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Carmen was so helpful and patient as our trip was actually postponed from last year due to the pandemic. Communication was very easy and quick and we were able to plan our trip stress free. The villa was also kept clean and tidy throughout our stay by Philomena who was also really lovely and helpful. Alvor itself is a beautiful town and within walking distance from the villa as is the local super market which adds to the relaxed feel. We will definitely be back. Thanks Carmen!!

Superb property and host

We had an excellent time resting relaxing and cooking, we only ate out twice in 7 days . Tastefully decorated in a colonial style, large rooms, high ceilings and fascinating artefacts - a very special experience.
