Terrible experience

I’ve stayed here before, but after this visit, I will never return. The experience was terrible from start to finish. Valet parking took 10 minutes while charging $55 per day. Housekeeping was nonexistent—they just left towels outside my room after I complained. There was no Wi-Fi the first day, and instead of offering a refund, they just apologized. The restaurant couldn’t charge my meal to my room, claiming I wasn’t a guest. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to pay by card, but their system was down, so they wrote my credit card info on paper—completely unprofessional and insecure. My room triggered sneezing and coughing, likely due to allergens. It was also shockingly small, making the bathroom almost unusable—even at 5'9", 160 lbs, I struggled to wash my hands. If you’re larger, good luck fitting in. This hotel has gone downhill. Management is awful, service is terrible, and the experience is not worth the price. Stay elsewhere.

Wonderful hotel

This is our 2nd stay and it was Wonderful. It is a beautiful clean hotel in the middle of the city. Easy to walk everywhere. Felt safe. Super friendly hotel staff and super cool library!! Would definitely stay here again!

It was a lovely check-in and check-out process but it would've been nice to have the option not to have the first room off the elevator area. I also would've appreciated any details related to accessing the library next door, as the property really puts it front and center in its marketing. It felt closed off and I didn't know if I was permitted due to a (possible) private gathering. Valet was the most convenient option for us and would recommend versus parking in the downtown area unless you find a covered overnight garage. My boyfriend enjoyed the coffee and our room felt incredibly safe, clean, huge TV, and comfy linens. I noticed no bottled water in the lobby fridge with plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Watch out for $28 mandatory daily amenity charge when you arrive - for wifi that is provided free by any other hotel, free bike that no one use, and $15 food that we have no time to use. Also and $50 daily parking charge. It's deceiving low rate is not real.
