We recently stayed at this property and, regrettably, our experience did not align with the hotel’s five-star rating. Upon arrival, We found a clump of hair in the bathroom, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and attention to detail. The additional cleaning provided after reporting the issue included housecleaning spraying and wiping areas where there was hair. The mattress was uncomfortably hard, and the pillows lacked quality and support, resulting in a less-than-restful night’s sleep. Housekeeping services were inconsistent during our stay; on one occasion, the room was not serviced at all - we called the front desk and they confused our room with another guest room. Additionally, the hotel’s location proved somewhat inconvenient, as it was difficult to access directly from the main road. Another point of frustration was the television, which functioned intermittently throughout our stay. Staff are friendly but assistance requires repeated requests. Our last night there, we requested to pre-book our car to the airport and at our departure time, this had not been done. We had to wait for them to find a car. While none of these issues alone would be insurmountable, together they detracted significantly from the overall experience we would expect and have experienced at other five star properties. In summary, although the hotel aspires to five-star status, our stay reflected more of a 3 to 3.5-star standard.

The staff is very friendly and attentive . The building and rooms are beautiful inside and out. The roof top bar is fabulous. Had lunch up there and enjoyed every bite. Perfect spot to enjoy Porto!

Hotel is situated in a great location, very close to a bus stop, but quiet. They arranged transfers to and from the airport for me and there was a bottle of fine ruby port and some chocolates waiting for me in the room on arrival. The room itself was spacious, tasteful and very clean. I had breakfast every day and one meal in the restaurant, all of which were great quality with good service. Housekeeping also came back to clean my room after leaving on two occasions after I had come back half way through the day, and all staff were polite and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel was great. Good location, great room, quiet area but close to everything we needed. The staff was over the top helpful and pleasant (Marta did so much for us). We really couldn't have asked for a better time in Porto with a lot of that due to out stay at Timbre Virtudes.
