Great little hotel

Great little hotel we use regularly when catching the ferry to /from Spain. Staff are always super helpful & friendly. Room although small has everything you need and the shower always has lovely warm water. There's car parking available you need to pay for.

Good location

Good location, able to park in the hotel car park. Room was clean, bed comfortable ,bathroom very small wc tucked in a cery tight space unsuitable if you have mobility problem or of a large morphology.

Usually IBIS hotels arent that bad, right? But unfortunately this has to be the worst hotel I've stayed in so far, the room was freezing cold when i got into the room (the heater was very tiny and not powerful enough to heat the room, any heat it did give off simply went straight out the window which was closed but still let in a draft), the TV only connected to BBC News, on the website it showed you could cast your device to your TV, but later i was told by staff it was broken. The shower pipe was spraying water in random directions when you turned the shower on and the showerhead seemed to be full of limescale so the water was only coming out of half the nozzles. The bottom of the doorframe was also covered in black mould. When i approached the staff apon checking out, explaining what was wrong with the room the only responce i got was "ah well, we will take your comments into consideration" Safe to say i wont be staying in the hotel again.

Horrible noisy hotel

The windows and noise insulation are so poor. The street noise was awful until 3am. We got no sleep. Room and bedding smelt of stale sweat. I’d never recommend staying there at a weekend, if at all.

Cheap price - poor quality

I am an ALL member and have used many Ibis & Novotel Hotels over the years. This Ibis room category in Portsmouth is half the size of the equivalent that I have used within the last 5 years. Although the facilities are as stated the room size is poor, claustrophobic and quite honestly squeezed as part of the complex to maximise the number of rooms that can be put into a designated area. Car parking was inadequate for the number of rooms in the hotel. The £12 breakfasts has now got reduced choices of cereal & English Breakfast ingredients. Overall, standards, in my opinion, have dropped dramatically. I will not be using this category of hotel again.

The WiFi wasn’t the best but otherwise very nice hotel. Rooms are cozy but not so much to make you uncomfortable.
