I stated this resort about 12 years ago and it was pretty good. They did a bunch of upgrades but since then I came back for a stay for 10 days at the beginning of 2026 and I have to say I’m somewhat disappointed. The second night in our room was leaking water out of the ceiling in the corner. They put us into another room which seem to be really outdated, things falling apart, it just was really shotty. The staff were incredibly helpful, mind you I tipped each department about 75 to 80 Canadian and my glass was never empty. The service was bang on room was always cleaned on time. Would I stay there again? Probably not, for the amount of money I could’ve spent a little bit more and stayed at a really really nice resort.

My experience with this booking was horrible due to Expedia’s lack of communication with the hotel. When I arrived, I was almost given a room I did not book. I paid specifically for a honeymoon suite with an ocean view, but the hotel claimed that Expedia did not send that information. I had to show my printed itinerary as proof of what I paid for. On top of that, I did not have hot water for two days during my stay. This is completely unacceptable! This caused unnecessary stress during what should have been a special trip for our family.

Jacuzzi was dirty. The jets released dirt when we turned it in. We found a roach running around, there was no blow dryer, no slippers and no robes. We complained few times nothing was done.

The rooms were old and were in need of a refurbish in the worst way, food in the restaurants and at the buffet was generally not great at all, and it was terrible that everything closed down at midnight. Generally there was nothing to do at the resort and it seemed like the family side seemed to be more lively than the adults only (maybe they meant retired and old adults so we were bored at our resort).
