Staff was nice and friendly. Easy and quick check in / check out. Exterior property and pool areas were clean and very nice. Many activities for the adults and kids. Pool slide was awesome and my child enjoyed it a lot! Beach area was also nice and clean and rented the boogie boards which was fun. Food, for the most part, was very good with multiple restaurants to choose (Freda was our favourite). Both Breakfast buffets had great options and beautiful views from the Ciao location. Enjoyed the wood fired pizza by the pool almost daily. Enjoyed the pool swim up bar. Room was okay, and could possibly use an update at some point; however the cleaners kept it clean. IMO they could do away with the in room jacuzzi tub for more room space, bed, couch, table, etc. we didn’t use the tub at all and just seemed like waisted space. Partial ocean view was nice. Convenient and close to shopping with a mall a couple blocks away and a few beach shops near by. Other attractions a quick Uber or Taxi ride away (Vallarta Adventures and Dolphin Discovery). All in all, was a pleasant vacation and stay.

1. Checkin took 30mins 2. Had 2bring pool towels back by 8pm. If my room/name were taken, why not the option to return in the morning 3. Wish i had a view of the beach from the pool, couldnt see due to high shrubs 4. Everyday, no seating at the main pool because of reserved seating!!! my family had to sit by the hamb/hot dog stand & trash can 5. I was placed on the 1st floor which seemed like a basement near the staff & their carts 6. If i have a wristband, i dont see the need to ask me what room im in EvErYwHEre i go in the hotel!!!!

The grounds were beautiful. The beach was great with great equipment loan options. Hotel rooms were quite spacious if a little dated. The food options were great at Ciao, Zen, and Frida. The teen hangout area could use new equipment. The entertainment was fun. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Overall a great stay! We would stay here again!

Not the Authentic Mexican Experience We Hoped For We’ve taken many memorable trips across Mexico and always seek out resorts with rich local culture, great food, and warm hospitality. Based on strong online and AI-driven recommendations, we booked the Hard Rock Vallarta for a new experience — but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. While we understand the Hard Rock brand, this resort felt completely disconnected from the festive Mexican spirit we love. It lacked any cultural atmosphere, and the food — which we’re usually not too picky about — was consistently bland and disappointing. The staff were kind, the beach was long and well-kept, and we appreciated being able to choose our room floor. But the room itself had a hot tub that felt like wasted space, and the beds and pillows were shockingly uncomfortable — the worst we’ve encountered in all our travels. Though the grounds were maintained well and the vibe was friendly, this is a 3-star resort at best — not the 4.5 stars it claims. Strangely, much nicer neighboring resorts didn’t even show up in our search results, which makes us question how these online recommendations are being ranked. We left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican escape, this isn't it.

I did’t like the fact that they want to sell you a member ship and give a real bad time. They make you waist a good time you are specting. So if you ever go to hard rock do not accept to go to any demos about any thing.
