This resort was beautiful, we were skeptical when we read other reviews but we were very happy with everything, the staff was awesome and very willing to help in every way they could. The Grand room we had was very clean and had a very nice view of the courtyard. Yes this resort is kid friendly however this did not affect how our trip went at all. The food was quite good despite the reviews being not great. We very much enjoyed the Las Palomas and Amalfi specialty restaurants for dinner. The Casa Bella buffet had a very good assortment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. If we were craving a snack on the beach, La Bamba was the place to go, great Hamburgers and hot dogs with great side choices. The only thing foodwise that did not live up to our expectations was the Piazzetta dei Forni restaurant. The crust tasted cheaper and they put cut up hotdogs on some of them. Just for people looking at all of the different restaurants, if you book the all inclusive package, you do not have access to Mai Tai and Capriccio as they are for owners/VIP members. Everywhere else is free to eat at. Note to book at one of the specialty restaurants you need to wake up early and book them. All of the bars and swim up bars were amazing and had a different drinks of the day every day. The bartenders were very friendly and willing to make anything requested. Our trip was great and we have next to no complaints about Marival Emotions, would recommend to anybody with or without kids.

We had such a fantastic family vacation here! Great for families with little kids. Kids club was awesome, park to play on, the pools were fantastic, beach was perfect, nice and shallow for the kids, we rode bikes to town one day. Shows and events going on everyday. Beach party and pool party were our favourites. My daughter was so excited to see Elsa at a show in the evening. Unfortunately there wasn’t much availability for the restaurants so we were able to eat at those but the buffets had different options everyday so we never got bored of the food. Lots of options for the kids!

The place was clean. Room was good, food average. Drinks were OK unless you order a double can’t taste any booze. I hate lining up for a restaurant, they have to find a different way to manage the restaurant times.

Very lovely resort. One negative.No fan in the bathroom so very hot and steamy after a shower. Also bathroom taps leaked. Enjoyed the PB courts every day. Loved the adult pool and walking along the ocean. Very clean! Would return to this resort!

The property overall was kept very clean and bartenders were doing the best what with they had . They were short staffed, buffet areas needed more attention. The servers in the buffet areas were not attentive or just standing around counting tips instead of waiting on customers. I had to get up and get my own drinks at least on 3 different occasions. Big resort but wasn’t staffed properly when cruise liners show up and use the property’s , leaving hotel patrons waiting for drinks by the pool areas . Members of the hotels also noticed service to patrons had gone done significantly. I probably would not come to any resorts of Marival in the future!

Wonderful property for family vacation. Beautiful tennis courts. Excellent choice of fresh tropical fruit at every meal. Hot cooked food items were just warm most of the time. We'll definitely return with our adult children and grandchildren.

We stayed here for a week with my two young kids, my parents, and my sister's family with 3 young kids. The property is beautifully situated along the beach. We appreciated that the kids pool was also next to the beach, not in a far away corner like most resorts. The different pool and activity options were great. The only annoying thing was the process for dinner reservations. The food at the buffets was very good, a good variety each night. Breakfast was delicious. We loved the signature cocktails at the pool bars, and so did the kids (NA!). We loved the Friday night beach party and the Tuesday fiesta - what an impressive production! The kids club had a variety of activites. My kids loved the pirate treasure hunt and the cooking class! Highly recommend Marival Emotions if you're traveling with kids and/or grandparents. Honestly, can't wait to return with the same crew!

We came in with lower expectations due to some of the previous reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised! Pros: very clean, very hard working and courteous staff! lots of food choices, plenty of activities for kiddos, great beach access and lots of space. Cons: shower leaked a bit due to the shower head being a bit wonky, not at all a deal breaker, can be a bit loud in the room with people walking around the halls chatting.Only really a problem if you have kids that go to bed early . Just bring a noise machine, and you’re good. Rooms are a bit dated so if your looking for the Ritz you might be disappointed, but still nice and comfy beds. Overall I’d say pretty decent 4 to 4 1/2 star resort!
